Ashpaw slunk onto the first stone he saw, pushing memories to the back of his thoghts. The tom crept up another level, eyes glimmering, set on a scrawny falcon, it was on three levels up from him, and the wind was wafting his scent away... with that, Ashpaw skulked up another level, then another... He got ready to pounce, and in seconds he was flying through the air at the bird. Pinning it down, he killed it with one painless blow and stepped down again.

Bonekit's bad mood was quickly put out of her mind as she watched her mentor hunt. She was filled with dread and anticipation when the bird swooped down, and was amazed at how perfectly he timed the leap onto the bird, how swiftly he killed it. "Wow, Stormcloud! That was amazing!" she mewed in honest excitement. She had never seen any cat hunt like this before, and it was a great way to get the bird's attention. "Do I get to learn how to do that?!" she added eagerly, bouncing up an down, filled with her regular happiness once again.

Stormcloud breathed a silent sigh of relief as he caught a bird for the second time that day. It would have been extremely embaressing if he'd have missed in front of his new apprentice. She seemed quite happy too so maybe she had been upset about something else. He certainly hoped so. "Thanks. And of course you do." He flicked his tail for her to join him on the rock, "This is, in my opinion, the best place to hunt in the territory. I haven't actually shown it to anyone else yet but I think you can make good use of it." He twitched his ears inthe direction of the hole, waiting to see what she would do.

Ashpaw grinned at his catch, burying it and jumping up onto a stone once more, he wondered how Bonepaw was doing with Stormcloud. The tom hopped up another level, seeing an impossibly small bird on the stone above him, he crept close and prepared to pounce. With that, he flew through the air, but his prey flinched in terror and rapidly soared away, leaving an irritated Ashpaw.

Padding dejectedly down again, Ashpaw uncovered his burried falcon and headed back to camp with his meagre kill. {Going to camp board...}

Jumping from stone to stone on the rough JaggedClan terrain, Yewstorm went down and down, weaving through the hard stone and sharp brambles with expertise. Stopping on one stone that was slightly larger then the others, the she-cat whipped around, so the apprentice behind her could see his mentor's face. "I suppose you know the SandClan border, Ashpaw." Yewstorm mewed, her thin lips curled up in a sneer. She hadn't really wanted to take out the apprentice in the first place, but if she didn't soon Wildstar would grow suspicious and force Yewstorm to train Ashpaw anyways.
Softly jumping even further down to a place where the shaky rocks mingled with soft yellow sand, Yewstorm immediately began to press her body to the closest boulders, renewing the scent markers between JaggedClan and SandClan. "Come on Ashpaw, don't be scared." The deputy mocked, her blue eyes shinning as she waited for her apprentice to come down.

Bonepaw's eyes burned excitedly as her mentor told her that he had never shown his hunting spot to any cat before. He was letting her in on his secret hunting position, his own technique, and she felt a glow of pride and excitement that he was letting her try it. Slipping into the spot, she found that she fit quite nicley, and began flicking her tail back and fourth in jerky, slithering motions as she had seen her mentor do. Eyes trained on the sky, she searched for any birds that might be approaching. Suddenly, she saw one, a falcon who had caught sight of her tail suddenly came swooping down. The air around her started to woosh and at the last moment, she felt fear cluth her by the throat as she yowled, leaping away from the spot. The falcon fluttered and squawked, alarmed and surprised that the tail wasn't what it thought it was and soared away. Hanging her head in shame that her first try at the technique had failed so horribly, she kneaded the ground. "Sorry, Stormcloud," she sulked, "How do you stand it, not letting instinct take over? I thought that falcon was going to grab me by the tail and feed me to its nestlings!" She gave a shuddering laugh then, shaking her pelt.
[[ooc;;Just to let you know, Osaka, the Jagged-Sand border is a direct drop down from a cliff ^^ It's probably the most secure border in the whole area, because SandClan can't climb up it, and if JaggedClan cats tried to go down, they'd hurtle to a painful death on SandClan territory o__o]]

Stormcloud had backed up under another stone while his apprentice attempted to lure the bird in and felt a flicker of concern as the bird began it's death-dive. Had he been to hurried to try and teach her to trick falcons so soon? She was an apprentice. While he might be able to fight his way down from a falcon's grasp, he wasn't sure she could. As soon as the bird wheeled away, Stormcloud felt his stomach unclench in relief. Perhaps they should try something else first.
"Don't worry. It took me ages to get that right as well. It'll probably be easier when you're bigger and can stand more of a chance against those furballs." The tom assured her warmly, flicking his tail against her ears to show that he wasn't disapointed in her. then his whiskers twitched mischeviously, "If you can catch me, we'll do battle-training tomorow until one of us drops!"
With that, the dark gold tom leaped onto one of the nearby jagged rocks that gave his Clan it's name, tensed and ready to jump again. This would be a fun way to improve her stone-hopping skills.

Ashpaw nodded, face impassive though his eyes showing immense dislike. Pressing himself against a boulder, he renewed the scent, mind whirling as he wondered why Wildstar had made Yewstorm his mentor, considering the whole camp knew of her prejudice towards cats from anywhere except JaggedClan.

Reassured by Stormcloud's encouraging reaction at her failed attempt to catch a falcon, Bonepaw relaxed. Having Stormcloud as a mentor was fun! And it was just about to get even more fun. At the words "If you can catch me," Bonepaw was all rilled up, nearly bursting with the prospect of being able to play a game with her mentor as part of her training, and was filled with even more excitement when she saw how she was allowed to chase him. Following suit, she leaped atop a stone, catching her balance, steadying herself, and then leaping upon another. "I'll catch you!" she yowled excitedly, "Don't think you can get away!" she let out a mrrow of amusement then, almost loosing her footing on one stone before steadying herself and leaping to another. As she progressed, her pace seemed to quicken, and she purred, feeling more confident the higher up she got. I'll catch the furball in no time! she thought excitedly, continuing to leap from stone to stone, pausing every few bounds to reassure herself of her footing and bunch her muscles.

Stormcloud leaped from rock to rock, glancing over his shoudler from time to time to make sure she was still there. He lead her to the highest point and then to the lowest, sometimes making tricky side-jumps and sometimes leaping backwards (as long as she wasn't right behind him). She was quite good at it, he reflected mentaly, Bonepaw kept her balance surprisingly well for such an eager cat. The dark goldn tom wasn't bothering about his noise-levels though, normally this would be done silently but this was only her first day of training -where was the fun in that?

Bonepaw was getting tired, but not bored. She was having the time of her life, chasing her mentor through the air, bounding from rock to rock above the rocky ground of JaggedClan territory. Her limbs heaved with exhuastion, and her puases before leaps were longer, stopping to regain her footing every bound now, but still having fun. "I'm--gonna get you!" she gasped again, leaping to yet another rock which she stagered dangerously on before regaining her footing and leaping to a side rock at a tricky angle. She loved a challenge! Spotting a shortcut to reach her mentor faster, Bonepaw made a dangerous leap at an odd angle. Once landing on the rock, she noticed it was unusually thin and jittery. Eyes bulging in alarm, she began to slip. Just on time, her claws dug in to a sharp corner of the pointed stone, and grunting, she pulled herself up onto it, regaining her footing and gasping for breath, her heart still pounding wildly in her chest from the adrenaline rush.

[[Feel free to let her catch him, if you wish.]] Stormcloud had just made a particulary long leap that made his heart swell with exileration. If he had beenon his own he would have been leaping as far and high as he could, trying to get as close to flying as was possible for a cat, but he did want to give Bonepaw a fair chance at catching him. Then a sudden scrambling made him whirl around, nearly loosing his own footing as he did so adn having to scrabble about a bit, only to see her grip on tight and save herself. He grinned sheepishly, having just done the same himself and meowed, "Good save! As you can see, even warriors loose their footing from time to time. Although I'd appreciate it if you didn't mention it to my denamtes." The newly-made mentor twitched his whiskers in amusement before turning around and hopping once more.

Whiskers twitching in joyful amusement, Bonepaw called, "Don't think I won't!" and flung herself without thinking from the stone on which she was standing. She was going in her mentor's direction, and it was a dangerous leap. As she soared over him, she extended a leg to tap it on his back. Suddenly, another rock was coming up, and she yowled in alarm as she flew over it, trying desperatley to grab it. Missing it, she screeched, and extended her paw, snaring her claw on another rock. Pulling herself toward it, she gripped it for dear life, staring down at the dizzying scene below, and began to slide down in very slowly, her claws making a horrible scraping sound on the stone which made her yowl in contempt. Finally, she hit the ground with a thud, and unlatched her claws from the rock. They hurt and one was bleeding, but she stood up, unsteady, but exhilarated. "Wheee!" she mewed in delight, before collapsing on the ground, sides heaving.

Momentarily stunned at the mouse-brained actions of his apprentice, Stormcloud could do nothign but gape stupidly as she went slamming into another rock and slid down it. Then he snapped back into reality and leaped down, rock to rock, reaching the ground in a matter of moments. He sniffed at the collapsed Bonepaw for a second to reassure himself she was fine before lettign out a loud mrrow of amusement, his face creasing up in mirth. "Well, that...one way...to do it." He meowed between laughs.
