"I already answered that question, remember?"
He chided quietly, now examining the she-cat with narrowed brown eyes. His face had settled into a contented expression, handsome features appearing. The wind gently blew against his fuzzy fur, pushing his ears to the side with a small amount of force. "I haven't gotten a reason to why I act like that, Frostpetal. I can't change who I am, even if I want to. I'll always be a paranoid freak, 'smellin' flowers' and such." His voice rang out through the near empty clearing.

Well of course he already answered it! She swung her tail slightly behind her before just wrapping it around her paws. Then, he started again. She listened to him. And stayed quiet for a while after he finsihed. Was he MOCKING her? And thinking himself as paranoid freak. She looked away from him. "Now'a tell me. Who said you were'a paranoid freak? I was just saying that.. because I never saw you smelling flowers before." She stood up, and attempted to walk away.

"I..."
He trailed off regrettably, watching the she-cat's posture slump down. "I like the smell of flowers, okay? They calm me down." He lied through clenched teeth, looking over at the she-cat. Perhaps if he talked some more, she would come back...? "Listen, I'm sorry. How about we just go hunting, like we were supposed to?" Offering her a lop-sided smile, the tom trotted up to her side, carefully brushing against her flank.

Frostpetal kept on walking, ignoring his ask for a hunt. Then he started to walk with her. She kept on walking, but didnt look at him. "Volcanicfur, are you expectin' me to believe ya smell flowers to calm ya'self down'? You had your teeth almost together as ya said it." She shrugged, by saying that hopefully he understood she wasnt in the mood for hunting. She sighed.

"Let's avoid the strip near SnowClan," Veiledeyes started after a few moments, remembering she was supposed to lead the patrol. "It seems all the patrols are heading in that direction, through you can't blame them when it's Ice-Freeze. Still, no need to leave the other borders unwatched." Turning her head so she could see Falconpaw, another reason popped into her head. "Plus, we shouldn't be hunting there. Defeats the aspect of you" -here she turned back to Splitmind- "watching him hunt." And with that, Veiledeyes turned South, towards the border with SandClan, heading over the rocky ground with easily with hardened pads.
---
Falconpaw silently agreed with the idea, for once. It was logical, especially since one of the aspects was him hunting. Swerving to follow Veiledeyes, he looked up as his black-furred mentor. "When am I going to hunt?" he asked passively, through his tail was moving again, more out of eagerness then anything. He knew it would take a bit to get away from camp, hence to the prey. Only mousebrained prey would hang out so close to a place smelling so much of cat.
ooc; Hope I'm not interrupting a roleplay here. xD Even if the cats are apart.

Volcanicfur winced, feeling the skin underneath his fuzzy fur grow hot. "...I..." Hanging his head, the handsome tom turned and started walking the opposite way. His tail drooped sadly, while the entire atmosphere seemed to grow cold.
-----
Splitmind agreed quietly, taking in the territory with narrowed eyes. His entire body seemed tense, but visibly relaxed at his companions voices. "Anywhere you'd like to hunt, just not around here." His head bobbed slightly as he looked over at the smaller cats, eyes sparkling with amusement.

Frostpetal felt guilt flow over her. She turned around and nearly trotted to get to Volcanicfur's side. "Volcanicfur.. I'ma sorry." Gult still felt like a thick wet fur. "Its just.. the way ya talked to me like'a that..." She was cut off by her own words, not able to go on as she padded by his side.

Falconpaw nodded, a fresh wave of eagerness entering his system. Not to think he hadn't forgotten the "little mishap" in camp- he'd work with that later. But now he was out of camp, on a patrol and about to hunt for his mentor. Well, would hunt. Tabby fur ruffled by a somewhat-steady wind, he bounded a few pawsteps forward. Whether it was the right place or not, he opened his jaws slightly and momentarily.
--
Veiledeyes soon caught her pace slowing, and her eyes wandering to a cloudy sky above. The temperature- refreshing at this point- wasn't helping with the situation. Giving her head a shake, she kept her eyes straight...for a combined fifteen seconds. Her eyes then strayed to the eager figure of Falconpaw, and to Splitmind's solid one. Letting the apprentice trot ahead, she hung back and padded next to Splitmind. "You got an interesting apprentice, but he's eager for work. That's good." she commented.

♫ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >> Pepperthorn stalked confidently across the JaggedClan terrain, heading toward the cliff edge, unaware and unconcerned about the two cats separately stalking her.
Once she reached the edge of her home terriotry, she peered over it, watching the goings-on of the SandClan camp. They didn't seem to be doing much. Stupid fish-cats.
She decided that she was satisfied with her position, and sat down. The perfect spot. There was no way that sissy Stormcloud would follow her to the cliff edge, and for effect, she turned her back to it, letting her tail dangle off of the dangerous overhang.
+
Bonecry stopped as she saw her sister sit down at the cliff edge. Obviously, Pepperthorn was being a coward in her own way, going to extremes to avoid Stormcloud's presence.
Too bad he's not the one following you; I am! Bonecry thought deviously.
She was about to step out from her hiding place, show herself, but thought better of it. It was too soon. She'd wait for the perfect moment, then leap out, taking her sister by surprise. Anyways, she had found a good hiding place. Downwind of the ocean air pushing its way across to her sister, and well hidden by shadows and large boulders. She could stay hidden here for moons, if not for the need for food.

[[Do you want Bonecry to go out first and Stormcloud jump in and grab her or would you rather him argue with Pepperthorn and then Bonecry come in? The first way, he doesn't have to see her push her.]]
Leaping from rock to rock swiftly as though there were no lethal edges at all, Stormcloud felt a gust of sea-wind blow through his hair, telling him he was coming ever closer to the cliff edge of his nightmares. For a moment her paused, terror eating him up from the inside. He could still turn back, he could pretend that he couldn't find Pepperthorn, tell himself she wasn't by the cliff and that the territory was too big to search it effectively. But no, there were only so many times he could lie to himself. With a jolt of fear, Stormcloud realised that it was only a matter of time before he would have to face the cliff edge. He might as well get it over with. Keeping that thought alone in his head, the tom pushed on, drawing closer and closer with every bound, his heart thudding in time.
