Seapaw noticed in alarm that a vicious looking apprentice was leaping at her, spitting. Instinct took over, and she hissed, leaping around to send a spray of sand at her opponent. It was no attack, but it would hold her off for now.
"Finally!" Fish yowled in excitement. He darted in the same direction as Bubble, excited to help his friend take on the loudmouth to-be. Suddenly, he was yowling in surprise as a torrent of sand hit his face. Stopping to spit the grainy sand out in chokes, Fish shook his head. Still, he realized, she hadn't attacked yet. Just made a defensive move. She couldn't hold out like this for long, though he was having a hard time getting the sand out of his eyes.
Seeing an opprotunity, Seapaw leaped at the ginger tom, a yowl in her throat, and landed with a defeaning thump on his back before raking her claws through his fur. She watched as blood oozed out of the cuts she was tearing into him, staining his soft ginger fur.
Yowling at the searing pain of claws through skin, Fish writhed about, throwing Seapaw off his back. He watched the to-be skid in the sand for a moment before leaping to her feet and running at him. He took a step back, and soon they were circling each other, spitting, and lashing out every few heartbeats, only to hit a facefull of sand and leap to their paws again.
Wood slunk backwards. He didn't want to get caught in a fight. Standing a few bass-lengths away from the fighting cats, he watched the battle in a fighting stance, spitting, fur puffing out from his skin in agression. In reality, he was terriffied, but he knew that if he let this show for only a second, he'd be a floater in no time at all.
Seeing no way out of the battle, Salt flung her sopping body into the mess of cats and claws, and pounced at the same cat Dark was fighting, a large black and white tom. She leaped through the air, a yowl in her voice, aiming for his back, but as usual, her clumsy body was way off, and a wave of despair crashed over her before she fell to the ground, tumbling over her own legs and across the sand until she fell against the enemy tribe's healer. Yowling in alarm, and knowing this was Lightning's battle to fight, she stumbled away, not giving up yet, and charged once again at the back of the black and white tom.

Sun took guard in front of Light, watching for any threatening cats, she swung her head, searching for movement in their direction, hoping she looked so fierce, with her fur bristling, eyes glaring, that a trained boat guard wouldn't give her a hard time. Dark spat at his wounds, then leapt, claws outstreched at Penguinfur, meaning to rip out his fur in clumps, hoping he would stay were he was. Wavestar snarled at Rain and hurled her body at the Ocean Sea cat, opening her jaws and fastening them around her opponents leg, while scrabbling at her side with thorn-sharp claws.

Suddenly, Salt was barreling into Penguinfur's side. Once again, she had run off-course, but at least this time she actually hit him. She stood dizzied from the impact for a moment before steadying her paws and charging at the black and white tom again, trying to knock him into the icy waters lapping at the shore of his territory. She could fight better in the water, swimming under a cat to rake their belly or bite their tails. It was so restricting on land, where you could only attack from so many angles.

Lightning staggered slightly from the blow Wavestar had caught him with, glancing at his side for a moment to see the deep scratches oozing blood. He shook his head, severely annoyed. He was Healer, for the Tribe of Endless Hunting's sake! He needed to show this other healer how good Tribe cats were. Even if they had never fought for real before. Suddenly Rain attempted to help him, getting clawed badly in the process, and Lightning felt a fury swell up in him. These Clan cats would not hurt his Tribe! with a yowl of rage he launched himself at Wavestar who was pre-occupied with Rain's leg, and landed squarely on her back, surprising himself a little as well. He dug his claws in as hard as he could and opened his jaws wide, trying to get a grip on the she-cat's neck. Then maybe she would see sense and retreat while she could still walk.
Caught by surprise bt the sudden large amount of sand in her eyes, Bubble yowled in painand anger, blundering about and knocking into Wood blindly. She raised a paw to claw at him before realising it was one of her Tribemates and getting even more angry with herself. This was her first battle and she was being utterly useless! Struck by a sudden inspiration, Bubble raced over to the sea and dipped her head in near where Salt and Dark were taking care of another Clan cat. There, now she could see. Now she just needed to attack and everythign would be good again. [/color]

Wavestar yowled and tore her claws savagly from Rain's leg, swiftly, the she-cat bounded around, and shook Lightning off, skidding so that sand would block his vision. Dark yowled thanks to Salt and ripped and Penguinfur's leg, eyes blazing with the fire of battle as the blood pumped through his veins, full of adrenalin.

Thankfully his reflexes had saved him from most of the sand. Lightning still blinked rapidly to clear his green eyes before crouching back, waving his tail challengingly. Come and get me. It said.

Wavestar charged at him and thrust her claws down his back so that she was standing on her hind legs. She hissed angrily, how dare these cats invade their territory? Declare SandClan leave? These big headed cats wouldn't be getting her caln's territory. Never.

Seeing Bubble cleaning his face in the water, Seapaw took this as an opprotunity, and leaped upon the cat, pushing him into the mushy sand at his feet before raking her claws through his fur.
Fish stood up unsteadily. Where had that coward gone? He gasped when he saw the fish-brained she-cat atop Bubble. With a ferocious yowl, he leaped on her back, raking his claws through her fur, and clung tight as she began trying to shake him off, stumbling around and finally, splashing into the water. Just what he needed! He leaped off her back into the icy cold as she paddled, desperatley trying to reach land. Suddenly, he was underneath her, his jaws digging into her leg, hoping that Bubble would follow soon and help him attack the to-be from underneath, where it was hard for her to strike back.
Barreling once again into Penguinfur, Salt flew into the water with him. Once in, she quickly dove under, coming up to rake her claws at his belly under the salty ocean. She hissed in amusement, knowing the open wounds in combination with the salty ocean would only make the scratches burn more.

Yesss! Wavestar had done exactly what he'd hoped she would. Ignoring the pain in his back, Lightning whipped his head around to her exposed stomach and, having all feet occupied with holding him up, simply gave her as savage a bite as he could muster, spitting out the horrible taste of land-cat after.
"Mrrrowowow!" Came the muffled screech of indignity and pain from the sand-faced she-cat to-be as she struggled to rid herself of the other apprentice whi was, very painfully, scratching her back. Son the weight was lifted from her back. Thank you Fish! Wasting not a second more, the to-be dived under water and grabbed another leg, swimming backwards to drag her even further away from land. [[Ah, for reasons beyond even my own understanding, I only read Seapaw's bit of your post. x.x

Dark glanced around, searching for a SandClan cat who wasn't fighting, one he could attack. Racing forwards, Dark leapt into the fighting throng of cats. {Short, but I wasn't sure what to do.}

Wavestar fell back, then rubbed her belly on te sand, blocking the wound with the golden grains, fighting the searing agony she rounded on Lightning once more and hooked her claws deep into his flesh in his shoulder, pushing her claws in as deep as she could.

Lightning hissed with pain but rolled with the attack, dislodging her claws with considerable relief. His shoulder throbbed with pain as he stared at the she-cat before him. She had probably fought a thousand battles. This was his first true one! He risked a glance around and saw his cats swarming the others. There was a black and white tom being herded into the sea by Salt and the loud-mouthed to-be was also gettign closer to the water. Lightning mentally berated himself. His Tribemates had the right idea. Backing up, but never letting his eyes leave Wavestar, he kept padding backwards until he felt the sea lap at his hind legs. "You cannot hope to win - there are too many of us for you three!" He meowed goadingly, keeping on his toes.

Wavestar hissed. "You may have more cats, but we have the spirit of SandClan." She retorted angrily, padding towards him. Then she leapt, raking her claws down Lightning's front legs. The she-cat's thick fur bristled and she hissed again, feeling pain surge through her.

[[Modified the post before last.]]
Wincing in pain, Lightning twisted swiftly around so that he was behind her and used his full weight to barge her into the sea, hoping desperately that it would work. If this didn't he would just have to find another way to get her into the sea.
