Wavestar snarled with so much force that her eyes took on the quality of flames. "Sea-cat." She hissed. "Think about it from the view of another? How would you feel in this situation? Fighting for your home? For the one's who are the pillars of you life?"

Fire of Setting Sun stood alert by Light's side, the nursling was unsure of what to do, and finally settled for poking his tounge out at the land cats. He was bright ambery-orange, fur thick about him. Although his tail, legs, ears where a velvety black, as was the circle around his amber-green eyes and the egg shaped circle on his back.

Lightning gave a harsh, joyless laugh. "I am fighting for the ones who are the pillars of my life. My Tribe has travelled aimlessly on the sea for generations while you have been living softly on land. What kind of life is that? I will not let my cats go through that ever again. They deserve more." The fawn-colored tom hissed right back, glaring at her with all the intensity of a storm.

With a resounding yowl, Seapaw was pelting back into camp as fast as her three good legs and one mauled one could carry her. In tow, the cats of PineClan, fresh, strong, and ready for battle. She noticed one cat, the one who had shown particular hate towards her was on the ground of the beach, two other sea cats crouched over her. Taking the opprotunity to attack, she yowled, "REVENGE!" leaping upon the ginger tom who had attacked her in the first place, tearing her fangs through his skin, and hoping Adderpaw would come quickly. She'd leave the other furball for now, she looked pathetic, sprawled on the beach, sopping wet. So much for good swimmers, she thought bitterly, giving the ginger tom another swift bite.
Fish yowled as he felt a thud on his back and the cat who he had been drowning before was suddenly tearing through his fur, biting his neck in rapid sucession. Yowling, he stammered around the beach. "GET OFF!" he screeched, collapsing in the sand, which was suddenly in his mouth, ears, and eyes. "CAN'T YOU SEE MY FRIEND IS DYING?!" The horrible she-cat didn't listen, instead, continued raking her claws through his back. He was filled with rage, and tried to move, but she had him pinned agains the ground, and he was so short on breath that he could hardly summon his paw to swipe the air, not daring to take in a breath, knowing that he'd get a mouthfull of sand instead.
Wood stared in horror at his brother, pinned to the ground by the rude she-cat. His gaze flicked back and fourth. He could get a cat to help Bubble. Or he could fight the land cat on his brother's back. He felt dizzy suddenly, filled with worry and anguish. And suddenly, he was collapsing to the hard ground. The decision was too tough, the stress level, too high, the agony in his chest, too strong. He was a weak cat, and he was fainting beside Bubble, icy water just brushing his fur as it washed upon the shore.
Salt gasped in alarm, abandoning the fight between her and the black tom, deciding that her friend could take it from here, and pelted to where two apprentices were collapsed in the sand. A few bass-lengths off, she saw Fish, his head buried in the sand by the horrible inconsiderate land to-be. Yowling in disbelief, she threw herself at the she-cat, knocking her off easily, and picked her up in strong jaws before flinging her with all her might across the sand, watching her land with a sickening thud in the grainy earth. Scared by what she had done, and what her insticts were doing, Salt started running to the other two apprentices, stumbling and tumbling across the sand in the opposite direction.
Feeling a weight being lifted off of him, Fish pulled his head out of the sand, gasping, and saw Salt taking care of the horrible to-be. Too exhausted and out of breath to go after her, he began choking up mouthfulls of sand, gasping for air, and attempting to drag himself toward his friends with is front paws. Noticing that his brother too was passed out, he attempted to yowl in pain, which came out more as a wheeze, and started dragging himself along the sand faster yet.

Adderpaw pelted after Seapaw, only to see her attack one of the sea-cat apprentices with all the strength of StarClan. he found himself hoping he wouldn't have to meet her in battle any time soon. The ging tom had just been about to launch himself at the other apprentice, one who was a woody-brown colour when he collapsed. Adderpaw halted, prodding him with an unsheathed claw. What kind of apprentices were these? One looked half-drowned so her lying there was understandable but the other had just keeled over. Had he gone to sleep? Inthe middle of a battle? Or just fainted? The latter seemed more likely and Adderpaw had just finished spitting in disgust when a yowl from one of the sea-warriors atttracted his attention. He turned just in time to see her fling Seapaw right off the other apprentice, onto the sand many tail-lengths away with a heart-stopping crunch where she moved no more. A red haze seemed to come down in front of Adderpaw's eyes and he flung himself onto the older, bigger, tortoiseshell warrior's back, with a yowl fury. How dare she? The stupid, fox-hearted, mouse-brained furball! The ginger apprentice almost slipped off a couple times as the sea-cat lurched about but managed to keep his balance, clawing her with all the strength he could muster.
Bursting out onto the beach, sides heaving, Skypaw told herself that she would be doing a little more exercising after this, instead of mulling around the den with herbs all day. If there was an after. There were loads of these sea-cats and still only five of them. Four that could fight well and just two who were out of their apprenticeship. She licked her lips nervously, unsure where and how to help. Skypaw wasn't much of a fighter herself, and she didn't know which way camp was, so she couldn't go for herbs. The she-cat paced about the side-lines uncertainly, waiting for any injuries and feeling useless.
Moon had been watching the fight with her intense pale mint-green eyes, a mild intrest in them, but nothing more. The grey-white she-cat did want her Tribe to win, obviously, but that seemed inevitable, even with the two new to-bes, so she wasn't very anxious. Moon of White Light's eyes were suddenly drawn to where Fish seemed to be loosing against a land-cat. She gave a low hiss of disbelief as his brother fainted but loped over to where he lay, wondering what on earth had happened. As she drew nearer, the she-cat noticed the tabby-and-white form of Bubble who was splayed across the sand not far away and looking ominously still. Dismissing Wood as a useless furball, she sniffed about Bubble's water-logged shape. Uncertainly, the fish-catcher pumped her paws on the small to-be's flank, trying to get some water out of her. She was no Healer but almost every cat knew the basics of helping drowning cats. It was a common problem. She could still use some help though.

Wavestar hissed. "Then run little sea cat, Find your own territory! Do not fall upon SandClan's like scavengers!" With a yowl, she hurled herself at his, adrenalin numbing the pain from the wounds. Savagly, the she cat raked a claw down his nose, the metallic scent of blood rising all around her. From Ocean Sea. From SandClan. From oncoming death...?

Salt yowled in disbeleaf as a formidable but somewhat light weight dropped onto her back. Whipping around in circles, she realized that it was another 'clan' to-be. Hissing in disbelief, she writhed around, trying to shake him from her back, but his hold was strong, so she instead began whipping his back with her long tail to try and get him off of her. "Let go, you useless furball," she hissed, giving anohter spasm of writhes to attempt to dislodge the young cat.
Seapaw felt weak. The wind was knocked out of her. pUshing herself up unsteadily with her front paws, she tried to focus her eyes on the scene in front of her. She saw lots of cats fighting, but could only focus on one in particular. The ocean warrior who had flung her across the sand with such rage was being attacked by a smaller cat. Straining her dizzied eyes, she realized it was Adderpaw, and felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. The shy ocean cat was stronger than she appeared, and could easily knock her friend out with a swift and quick blow of her paw. Racing forward as her vision cleared, Seapaw was suddenly attacking the warrior again, her claws raking into the she-cat's side. She then bit hard into her lower leg, causing the cat to yowl in pain, but she did not loosen her grip, only tightened it, dragging her claws through the lean warrior's pelt as if sharpening them on a rock.
Gasping, Fish pulled himself up to where his brother lay. "Wood!" He choked, suddenly breaking into a fit of coughing from which the result was mainly phlegm and sand. Blinking a few times to get the sand out of his eyes, he gasped again, pushing his weakened, bleeding body up so that he could lean over his brother, and began dragging his tongue through the woody brown fur, trying to revive him. He then gave a hoarse yowl before leaning down again. Moon was taking care of Bubble, so for now, he didn't worry about the she-cat, instead, focused all his energy on his unconcious brother.

Adderpaw lurched sideways, managing to hold on by pure luck, but the frantic swaying from the other cat did not stop. He hissed as one of his unsheated paws was flung free of the cat's back, swiftly followed by another. He couldn't keep this up for much longer and he didn't know how much of a chance he would stand against her face-on. She was a warrior, after all. Adderpaw felt a heavy surge of relief at Seapaw's return, both at the fact that she wasn't dead and that she could help him. With renewed moral strength, the ginger apprentice swiped a paw at the top of the other cat's head but this proved to be a mistake as it only served to unbalance him further. Adderpaw hit the ground on his back but rolled back onto his paws in one fluid motion. He then sprung at the sea-cat, attacking her other side with claws and teeth alike.
Lightning hissed in pain and anger as the healer raked her claws down his muzzle. He retaliated quickly with a blow to the head but still could feel the wearieness dragging at his feet. A half-glance upwards told him that night was fast approaching. Could him, or any other Tribe cat, keep up this fighting for so long? Most of his cats were wounded now, and these Clan cats seemed more durable than he'd first thought.
Moon of White Light gave one last pump on Bubble's flank, wondering absently why Wood had fainted. And why Fish seemed so worried, the brown to-be should wake up with a little sea-water splashed on his face. Water spurted out from between the little she-cat's lips, forming a small puddle that as sucked up by the sand immediately. Bubble's eyes fluttered open and she squirmed, trying to spring up. "Stay still until you can see right again." Moon ordered quietly but firmly, watching the to-be stop struggling. The silver-grey fish-catcher couldn't see why her brother was fighting so hard for this land. The Ocean was just as good, and much bigger.[/silver]

Wavestar stumbled, her mind numbing with tiredness, but she fought on, circling Lightning warily, he was a strong fighter, but Wavestar intended to find a way f proving how much stronger she was. Unconsciously, she was crying out for the other clans to arrive.

Jaws locked into the she-cat Seapaw was starting to become dully aware of a pain in her back leg. And the more she recovered from the fall, her head clearing. The more it hurt, until it was a splitting, aching pain going all through her leg. She moaned, collapsing onto it and noticing that hit was bent at an odd angle. When the warrior had thrown her, she must have broken her leg! Hissing in rage, and using her two legs that were still less injured, she yowled, throwing herself onto the cat with all the might she could muster. She was on the she-cat's back. The simple act of hooking her claws into the fur of the cat was enough to make her leg sear with pain, and she yowled again, suddenly digging her jaws into the cat's neck.
Salt screeched in agony as the horrible little she cat dug her jaws into her neck. Panic and rage began to overtake her as the other to-be continued attacking her, and she felt blood, hot and sticky, becoming matted in her fur. All she could do then was run. But she was having a hard time doing this, with two cats mauling her at once, and she lanced about as best she could through the sand, the claws and teeth in her skin making her even clumsier than usual until she saw no other choice than to drag herself to the water's edge where wave met sand and throw herself into the wet earth, writihing about in the water on her back, stomach, and side, covering herself in a wet, sandy mess and hoping to dislodge the two horrible to-bes.
Still wailing pitifully, not knowing what to do for his collapsed brother, Fish noticed that Moon had revived Bubble. Staggering up to the two cats, he cried in a hoarse voice. "How do I save him?! How?" he then grimaced, clamping his jaws together before letting out a sneeze which sent sand flying. Hissing, he shook his head hard and ran to the water, plunging it in and giving his head a good thrashing. Padding back out, dripping and soggy, he was now cold, wet, and still had sand lodged in his throat. Collapsing miserably onto shore, he decided he hated this place. He hated the stupid land and the stupid sand, and he wanted to be on the boat with Wood, not fighting arrogant land cats, and not watching his borther Wood lay still on the ground. Not getting sand in his face and not being pounced on by reckless she-cats! He was suddenly aware of blood in his fur, and he hissed. He had never gotten in a fight with any cat before, and he didn't like it.

"Splash some water on his face." Moon suggested in her customary soft, quiet tone. A more talkative cat would have pointed out that Wood had only fainted and was most probably not hurt or tried to cheer him up but as it was Moon remained as silent as possible.
The ginger apprentice had been too busy attacking the sea-cat to notice Seapaw's obvious pain but at her second yowl he looked up a second to see her hind leg sticking out at an absurd angle. Was it broken? He certainly hoped not, how could she carry on fighting if it was? Apparently she could. When the SandClan aprentice punced onto the other cat's back he realised that he may have underestimated her somewhat. Hm. As the tortoiseshell stumbled into the water, Adderpaw instincively leaped back, hating to get his fur wet. The tom dabbed a paw uncertainly into the surf. However much he liked fishing, he would never be happy about dunking his whole body in.

Dark launched himself at Adderpaw, his cold eyes gleaming like frost. The boat-guard yowled as he landed in front of the apprentice, glossy black, blue-tinged fur bristling in rage.

Adderpaw hissed at the new sea-warrior, furious that the tortoiseshell had gotten away. He spared a quick glance at Seapaw to re-assure himself that she was coping with her possibly-broken leg before snarling at the bogger tom. In his mind he went through all the defensive moves he'd learned which were not many, seeing as he'd always prefered to attack. Shame that, it seemed he would be needing them now.

Fish felt stupid. Why hadn't he thought of that? In the panic to help his brother, he had forgotten all about splashing the tom with water! "Of course! How fish-brained of me!" he mewed, relief in his voice. His eyes were beginning to calm now, but he still dragged the heap of brown fur that was his brother quickly to the water's edge before splashing about in it, sending a spray of water at the woody brown tom.
Suddenly, Wood felt something searing his body. Eyes blurred and fluttering open, he wondered what it could be, and gave a moan. Where was he? What had happened. He heard excited mews around him but couldn't figure out where they were coming from. As he lay there, he felt something grip the scruff of fur around hi neck, and he knew from the scent around him that it was his brother. He began to remember his confusion, his worry, and he sat up, knowing Fish was saving him, and mewing weakly, "Where's Bubble? I gotta help her! Fish...Fish, should I help you first, though?" he felt faint again but as his vision cleared, so did his mind, and he saw his brother's eyes, dancing in the light of the moon, and realized he no longer needed help. Pushing himself up slowly and regaining his balance, Wood was about to shift his weight, but remembered, once again, that he was on land, and so, settled for giving his head a quick shake instead. He saw Moon, Bubble, and Fish looking at him, and he was suddenly filled with intense embarassment. Fur prickling, he dropped his gaze to the sandy ground. "Sorry," he mumbled, shoulders sagging. His first battle, and he had fainted before another cat could even lay a paw on him.
Seapaw began dragging herself away from the thrashing she-cat. There was no way she was going into the water again! Last time, she had nearly drowned, and with the state of her two hind legs, there was no doubt that this time, if she went into the water, she'd never be coming out. Moving away from the shore as quickly as she could, she surpressed a cry of pain every time her leg moved along the ground. Pulling herself up to a rock, and hiding behind it, she pressed her body against it for a few moments before leaning down to clean the bleeding wound on her leg where the ocean apprentice had bitten into it. It still stung, but this pain was now nothing compared to the agony she felt in her twisted leg. It made her eyes water just looking at it, so she concentrated on the other leg, cleaning the bloody gash on it, wondering what would Ribbondance do? Where was Ribbondance, anyways? The apprentice hadn't seen her at the battle, and they could really use a medicine cat at the moment. She glanced around, trying to find cobwebs, but spotted none, and so continued cleaning the sand and salt out of her leg.
Salt hissed as she watched the land to-bes flee. Cowards! The one with the twisted leg went to hide behind a rock. She snorted in amusement. Catching sight of the other to-be, she saw him leap into battle against Dark. He woudln't be needing her help, she knew. Dark was an excellent fighter, and would have the to-be down in seconds, so instead, she began padding around the place. Now that the adrenaline of battle was out of her system, she was back to her shy, quiet self, and scurried over to the shore to watch the battle. She didn't want to get in a fight again, and her wounds stung, so she leaned down to clean them. She liked it so much better on the boat! There was no fight over land, no arguments with other cats, no battles on sandy shores. Just them and the sea and the boat, and he sighed in discouragement and sadness, knowing that life would never be like that again. She could run off--but she didn't want to let her tribe down like that. No, never. She would go where her friends went. That was that. She was not an assertive cat. She sighed.

Skypaw padded back to the beach, a wad of cobwebs in her mouth. She had just been up to the Pine-Sand place and managed to find a bit of the sticky stuff. Wondering where on earth SandClan's medicine cat was, Skypaw scanned the beach through her sky-blue eyes for any uinjured cats. Immediately her gaze was drawn to the apprentice that had burst into their camp. She was hobbling about horridly on an obviously-broken leg. Dashing over to her, slipping a little in the shifting sands, Skypaw attempted to meow around the wad of cobwebs between her teeth. She couldn't put them down in the sand or they'd get all sandy so she could only hope the other apprentice would understand. "Oo eed to come ober vere. I ot um 'ob'ebs for oo." This was accompanied by her offering the SandClan cat a shoulder to lean on and flicking her brown tail in the direction of a flatter rock, farther away from the fighting.
