"Shadowpaw...?" Wavestar asked the apprentice. "Training...?" The leader's silvery-white coat shone lightly, emphasising the unusual amber tinge it carried. She glanced momentarily out, waiting.

Shadowpaw looked up at Wavestar, a solemn glint in her sorrowful eyes. "You don't want me here." she meowed quietly, a bit too old for her age. Without another word, she turned her back on her mentor, and padded sullenly towards the apprentices den. Bounding the last few paces, she collapsed into her nest, sobs racking her small body. She cried herself to sleep.

Shadowpaw was swimming, drowning, gasping for breath. Raking her claws against the water, she struggled for air. Suddenly, a long, glistening, rainbow fish swam up to her. Opening its mouth, it revealed a huge set of fangs, and suddenly, that's where Shadowpaw was. No longer struggling. Sitting in a dark, empty space, with fangs for walls. "HELP!" she mewed frantically, eyes darting around. At that moment, a cold wind hit her face, and suddenly, all was white, cold, and harsh. Shadowpaw could feel her pelt being raked at by the harsh wind, and snowlfakes slammed into her sensitive eyeballs. Instinctivley, she closed her eyes, temporarily blinded by the wet snow. "NO!" she yowled. All around in the darkness of her eyes, she could see nothing but dark water. Suddenly, from this water, cats emerged. More and more, leaping from the wetness, and then dissolving into nothing, sending a spray of shapless droplets of watter raining down on her. Immediatley after, piercing words then flooded the area, dulling all other senses, and making Shadowpaw forget that the wind and snow around her was prbably ripping out her fur. In a fierce, high-pitched yowl, a prophecy sounded: "Bold and striking Arriving from beyond the sand Bringing with it death A new permanent threat Look for it in the water"
And suddenly, Shadowpaw's eyes were wide open, her body writhing on the ground in pain, claws scrabbling, scraping, digging into the ground below. StarClan was gone, but the dream remained, engrained in her brain...

Shadowpaw gasped, glistening tears rolling down her velvety black cheeks. Scrabbling to her paws, she looked around frighteningly.

Shadowpaw staggered into camp, hardly knowing where or who she was. Her usually regal eyes were wide with fright, and tears still blossomed from them, dripping onto the sandy floor.

Ribbondance meowed her thanks to the apprentice, she really did appreciate the help. It was so nice that a little cat stopped to think about the Medicine Cat, and not just their Senior warriors and Elders. Of course, she didn't mean to complain like that, but help was nice. She purred as she took the cobwebs back to her little den, and put them where the diminishing supply had been. Her den was organized, nothing to do there. She exited her den, and decided she'd like to just take a walk. Perhaps down to the icy shore? Dip her paws into the cold water, like she had when she was an Apprentice, herself.

Seapaw purred in reply to the thanks from the medicine cat, dipping her head in respect before slipping out into the clearing, gazing at the darkening sky. She sat still in the center of the boulders, tail warpped around her paws, waiting for some cat to come over and give her instructions. She was bored out of her mind, watching gulls circle in the air before heading back out to sea.

(Sorry! Had to do homework and have lunch...) Wavestar stared after her in shock, but shock soon turned to sorrow. "Yes." She whispered. "I do." Not seeing Shadowpaw emerge from the apprentice den, the cat turned swiftly and jumped over the boulders lining SandClan camp.

Ribbondance trotted towards the water, the sand comforting her paws. It was nice to know they had an advantage if ever they were attacked. The sand was on their side... they knew how to use it. The water was how it had been before... icy cold. But that's why she liked it. It sent a shook through her system, a cold, freezing one. It could wake up anything, and made a cat feel so alive...

Wavestar took a deep breath and leapt back over the grey stone boulders, she saw Shadowpaw in the center of camp and padded silently over to her. "Are you alright?" She enquired.

Shadowpaw mouthed wordlessly at the other cat, wondeing who she was. Staggering backwards, she scrabbled out of the camp, streaking away across the sand.

Wavestar streaked after her, but Shadowpaw was already out of sight. A storm was approaching, clouds billowed forwards, almost black. Snow poured down and wind buffeted Wavestar back. "SHADOWPAW!!!!!" She yowled desperatly. No reply.

Seapaw was suddenly whipped out of her daydream at a loud commotion. Scrabbling from the apprentice den, as Shadowpaw stumbled out of camp, tears streaking down her face. And was the leader chasing after her?! This was big! Standing up quickly, Seapaw darted out of camp quickly to follow the two cats. She was worried for the young apprentice, she always seemed so sad, so solemn. And now, she had tears streaming down her glossy black fur.

Turning her head, Ribbondance caught sight of Shadowpaw and Wavestar, the latter in pursuit of the first. "Seapaw!" she meowed, catching sight of the Apprentice. "What's going on?" Her voice was coated in worry and concern; what was happening in the Clan?
