Her pace fast and energetic, Yewstorm ran into the camp, eyes sparkling with excitement. Not that the she-cat had seen something marvelous, or caught a large piece of prey, but simply because of her energy-filled nature. Giving a small purr of amusement at her own excitement, Yewstorm felt her whiskers twitch with happiness. But the purr stopped dead in Yewstorm's throat suddenly, and her whiskers changed into an anxious twitch instead of a joyful one. A strong smell of blood hung over the camp, too strong to have come from fresh-kill.
Blue eyes flicked over to Yewstorm's apprentice, but the she-cat hesitated to walk over to Ashpaw. It was sheer cruelty on the side of Wildstar to give Yewstorm an apprentice that wasn't clan-born, when Yewstorm was a cat who openly hated impure cats.
But curiosity soon overtook the she-cat's prejudice, and Yewstorm padded over to Ashpaw, her black paws gathering dust on the way. Seating herself near her apprentice, Yewstorm allowed her tail to swing from side to side swiftly, betraying the she-cats dislike for the apprentice.
"Do you know what happened?" Without even so much as a glance to Ashpaw, Yewstorm asked her question curtly, almost biting back a snarl that would looked out of place on the she-cats delicate face.

Padding back into camp, Pepperpaw dropped a scrawny mouse in the fresh kill pile, and turned around to see Yewstorm questioning Ashpaw about the scent of blood, heavy in the air. She purred at the sight of the warrior, who she liked a lot. Yewstorm was so lucky to be clanborn. I wish I was clanborn. I really, really wish I was clanborn, she thought desperatley. The idea had clawed at her mind all her life. Being clanborn. It was a gift, and one she would never recieve. But she could do her best to stay loyal to the clan. Still, she felt it wasn't enough. Seeing this as an opprotunity to show her knowlege of the clan, as well as her physical skill, she darted over to the two cats, and before Ashpaw could even mumble a pathetic word, spat out, "They were stupidly going hunting. Rock-hopping, that is, and Bonepaw," she cast a glance of fury over to her sister, who was pathetically mopping up blood with her tonge, "fell. Ashpaw jumped from a rock to try and save her. In the nick of time, I dragged her off her prey, which was, by the way, still alive, before she could be crushed under it." She said all this with an air of irritation and fury, showed no pride for her life-saving deed, rather, glared furiously at Ashpaw and Bonepaw. If you were going to be around Bonepaw, Pepperpaw knew one thing, and that was not to get dragged into her upbeat hyperness, or things like this would happen. She hissed quietly at the thought, sending a brief, but icy stare her sister's way before gazing up at Yewstorm, her eyes softening just a bit to see what her role model had to say about the horrendous and clan-threataning situation.
Bonepaw heard the whole conversation, and tried to buisy herself by cleaning her wounds some more, but she had a feeling that she was doing a sloppy job, and certainly didn't miss the looks of hatred and tension in the air coming from her sister. When Bonepaw was sure Pepperpaw wasn't looking, she shuddered. The irony tang of blood was making her whole mouth feel raw and tasteless, so she gave up licking her wounds and waited for a medicine cat to attend to her, raking her paws along the ground in agony and anxiousness at what Yewstorm's response would be, and allowing blood to seep out of her cuts.
Hearing the commotion in the clearing, Wildstar padded quickly into camp. She saw Bonepaw, dripping blood waiting for a medicine cat's assistance, and Yewstorm questioning Ashpaw. As always, Pepperpaw was the first to jump to the warrior's side to explain things and wait for a response, and she didn't miss the admiration in Pepperpaw's eyes as she gazed up at Yewstorm. She just hoped Yewstorm would notice and drop her prejudices just this once. Pepperpaw was as good as clan-born, better. Half the time she acted like she was, the other half, being self-concious about the fact that she wasn't. There was nothing more, Wildstar knew, that Pepperpaw wanted than to prove her loyalty to the clan. Padding over to the warrior and two apprentices, Wildstar's thick fur rippled in the wind. Her eyes flicked back and fourth between the cats there, before demanding, "What is it? What's wrong?" She did not attempt to hide the alarm in her eyes and voice, as there was no medicine cat apparent, and a bleeding apprentice in the camp.
[[ooc;;OH sorry! I totally forgot about Ashpaw's origins, and the fact that Yewstorm hates cats that aren't clan-born 0__0]]

While Yewstorm wasn't as sharp as Wildstar was, even she did not miss the look of admiration on the apprentice's face. "Thank you, Pepperpaw." A slow smile made it's way to the she-cats thin lips. Pepperpaw was her favorite of all the non-clan born cats. While she might not be as good as the clan-born cats, she could get pretty damn close. So for an almost never-before-seen second Yewstorm's prejudice was almost not apparent in her voice.
But that moment was gone as soon as it came.
"If only your sister was as smart as you are, Pepperpaw." This time, the she-cat spoke with an edge to her voice, and this time Yewstorm didn't even attempt to stop the hiss that came after. "As for my own apprentice, I don't even want to think about him.." Yewstorm shot one hateful glance at Ashpaw, before turning to Wildstar, who had approached.
"Well, I think Pepperpaw can explain." The she-cat flicked her black-tipped tail at the apprentice, a tone of forced respect on Yewstorm's lips. After all, Wildstar wasn't a purebreed cat either. ooc;; D: No! Leave it that way! xD It makes things interesting..

A wave of relief and satisfation settled over Pepperpaw as she watched Yewstorm, a smile creeping into her eyes. She had done the right thing, but she did no more to reveal her happiness than twitch her whiskers briefly in respectful gratitude at the harsh she-cat's reaction. At Yewstorm spoke words about Bonepaw's intelligence, Pepperpaw did nothing to reveal her brief feeling of glee and agreement. Just sat there looking stiff and uninterested, as usual. Though, it is true, Pepperpaw thought, arrogant pride welling in her belly. She twitched the tip of her tail at the emotion. She glanced warily at Ashpaw as Yewstorm mentioned him. She didn't hate him when he was alone. When alone together, he acted to her liking, but when Bonepaw was around, it brought out a whole different side of the tom. A side that Pepperpaw wasn't sure she liked. His weak side, she thought bitterly. She then proceeded to recount all that she had told Yewstorm to Wildstar, watching the she-cat relax as she spoke, as if apprentices rock-hopping wasn't anything alarming. Wildstar listened in intrest as Pepperpaw told her of what Bonepaw and Ashpaw had been up to. She then gave a mrrow of amusement at the end. "Sounds just like me when I was an apprentice," she mewed wistfully, as if wishing that she was one again. This sent pangs of shock through Pepperpaw. There was nothing more that she wanted than to be a full-fledged, respected warrior for here noble clan, how could her own leader want to be closer to kithood?! Yewstorm would make a far better leader, she thought, her brain welling with anger. She really hoped the she-cat would be made deputy. She did, after all, have all the qualifications. She was a good warrior, a strong charachter, and was clanborn. Yes, the perfect leader. Eyes narrowing in amusement at the story, Wildstar nodded. "Thank you for telling me that, Pepperpaw. Now, if you'll excuse me..." she weaved between the three cats and padded over to where Bonepaw was sitting. Pepperpaw narrowed her eyes, watching... "You'll never get healed just sitting there, you crazy cat!" Wildstar mewed playfully, batting Bonepaw lightly on the ear, and purring in amusement at the apprentice. "Here, clean those wounds off once more. From my experience of living in the clan, medicine cats tend to use cobwebs for cuts, and you can chew a pebble for the pain." she brought both out, and using her primitive knowledge of medicine cat theories, patched up the apprentice as best she could.
[[ooc;;alright, I won't change anything ^^ i agree, it's more interesting this way :3]]

Watching the unwavering apprentice with a single vivid blue eye, Yewstorm noted Pepperpaw's lack of reaction with some sort of respect. Or at least, however close to respect Yewstorm could feel for a nonclan-born apprentice. As Wildstar recalled her apprenticehood memories, the she-cat felt her body flare with anger. The apprentice had broken the warrior code by going hunting without a warrior! Surely Wildstar wasn't going to pardon her so easily?
Exaggerated emotions ran through the she-cat's mind, the faintest of hisses escaping her lips. Ivory body crouching forward, Yewstorm turned her attention from Pepperpaw to her ragged leader. The Warrior Code had been broken! Not even Wildstar could ignore that for the sake of an apprentice that reminded her of herself.
"Wildstar.." Yewstorm padded over to Bonepaw, eyes glinting dangerously. "The warrior code has been broken. Surely you can't let that slide?" Barely choking out the words, the pretty she-cats features suddenly didn't look so soft and delicate anymore, her body suddenly not seemingly made of porcelain. Now lithe muscles showed on her shoulders, rippling with every step, and the ferocity that glimmered in Yewstorm's was nothing like the kittypet docileness that cats expected of her.
Tail held straight up, Yewstorm seethed with barely contained fury, which only made her manner all the more comical, and an inferno of emotion brewed inside the fierve she-cat.

Pepperpaw watched, excitement growing in her belly as she watched Yewstorm confront Wildstar about the wrongdoings of her idiot sister. Yes! she thought ecstatically, This is how a true leader would act! She did nothing more than look the way of her leader and role model, harsh lavender eyes glinting with apprehension and pure satisfaction. Wildstar whipped around, facing the pretty she-cat. Her eyes glinted in agitation. "Are you questioning my judgement? Yewstorm, you did not think I'd give this young cat a punishment without dressing her wounds first? Surley, you'd understand such things. Of course she has broken the warrior code. Of course she deserves punishment. That does not mean her cuts should go unadressed," she mewed, a certain bitterness in her voice that was only reserved for cats who got on her nerves.
Bonepaw felt miserable. She knew the wrath of both her sister and Yewstorm. They were both horrible, and two at once was more than she--or any cat--could bare. And it was all because of her that she had brought them both out. Glancing at her sister, a chill ran through her body at the horrible gaze she was giving the scene, a hint of respect for Yewstorm, she thought, hatred for herself and even their leader. What was wrong with her sister? This scared Bonepaw, seeing her sister like this. Yes, she was bad-tempered, but never had she seen her with such ferocity in her eyes. Only Yewstorm, she had seen like this. And she hoped her sister didn't turn into Yewstorm, but somehow, she had a horrible feeling clutching her belly that she would. Bonepaw relaxed when she saw Wildstar turn to her, warmth and honey in her eyes and voice, though this didn't relieve the sinking feeling about Pepperpaw in her stomach.
"You have no mentor, Bonepaw, and though you are seven moons old, you have not shown the maturity to be an apprentice. I'm sorry, Bonepaw, but from this moment forward, until we find you a mentor, you are to be known as "Bonekit" and live the life of a kit on a day-to-day basis. Regardless, you will not be allowed to attend the gathering." She mewed this with a kind of sadness in her voice, yet, she spoke as if she knew that this was the right thing to do.
Filled with rage and agony, Bonepaw let a short wail escape her throat before her eyes welled up with tears. This was far too harsh a punishment! Surley her hunting trip was just a misdemeanor! Something to fetch moss for! How, she wondered, could her own leader be so cruel? Bonepaw knew she was Wildstar's favorite, why was the leader doing such a thing?!
Wildstar felt bad for the shocked apprentice, but would not go back on her word. It was the only thing she could do to try and prove that she wasn't as weak as she seemed from time to time. "I'm sorry, Bonepaw." she mewed quietly. Then turned around, trying to hide the agony in her eyes. "As for you, Ashpaw, you are not allowed to attend the coming gathering either. And, no leaving the camp until after the gathering. You must stay in-camp. I'm sorry Yewstorm, but all training sessions for him must take place within the camp." She made this rule knowing Yewstorm wouldn't care. She could tell the distaste for the young tom that Yewstorm had, and knew she wouldn't mind missing a few training sessions on his behalf.

Ashpaw stared at Wildstar in shock. How could she do this? Lower Bonepaw... kit's rank? It was terrible, his punishment was nothing compared to his friend's. "But Wildstar...!" Ashpaw cried, then trailed off.

Assessing the situation and retreating a few steps back, Yewstorm couldn't help giving the slightest hiss of satisfaction. Finally! Their leader had given a punishment worthy of the crime. After all, if an apprentice didn't understand the Warrior Code, then he or she was worth about as much as a kit. Her swishing behind her eagerly, kicking up dust that clouded the pale sun up in the sky, Yewstorm shot a glance at the horrified Ashpaw, mentally chuckling at the expression on his face. "Yes, Wildstar. I will make sure Ashpaw does not leave the camp, or goes near Bonekit." Yewstorm let a hint of newfound respect coat her voice - as well as an unnecessary accent on the 'kit' in Bonekit. "StarClan knows the harm they might do to JaggedClan when their together." Sensing the stoic apprentice staring at the small conversation, Yewstorm let a sarcastic smile adorn her face. She got what she wanted, after all.

Wildstar's amber eyes narrowed as she gazed at the she-cat. "Now, Yewstorm, that was completley uncalled for," she mewed, twitching her tail back and fourth in irritation, "there is no reason why an apprentice and kit would not be together if they so pleased, and with those two not leaving the camp, there's no way they could cause that much damage. You have no right to keep Ashpaw and Bonekit away from one another." She mumbled the 'kit' part of Bonekits new name. Her body surged with childish rage, which was only revealed in her burning eyes and twitching tail. Sometimes, Yewstorm really got to her, like a particularly annoying tick. "Now," she mewed, "There are things to be done. Yewstorm, if you're so interested in the well-being of the clan, perhaps you'd like to go out and make yourself useful. Hunting, for instance, would be benificial." She flicked her tail toward the camp entrance, indicating to Yewstorm that she may leave, as Bonekit and Pepperpaw looked on with wide eyes.

Ashpaw almost yowled in anger and frustration. Yewstorm... he couldn't find words to explain that. Staring at Bonepaw... Bonekit, heknew that he could appeal to Wildstar as much as he liked, but she was leader of the clan, and he couldn't go against her will. Turning to Bonekit he gave her a 'It-doesn't-look-like-they're-going-to-change-their-minds.' look.

Bonekit stared back at Ashpaw, meeting his gaze, understanding his silent words. Her eyes were pleading when she looked at Wildstar, enraged when she looked at Yewstorm, betrayed and hurt when she looked at her own sister, Pepperpaw, and wild, confused, and frantic when she looked at Ashpaw. There were too many emtions running through her system at once! In less than a heartbeat she had become a kit again, and at seven moons! As this started to sink in, a surge of panic rose in her throat, and she gave another great yowl, this time, of defiance, anger, and betrayal. Before she knew what she was saying, the words bubbled up her throat. "You can't make me a kit again, StarClan won't stand for it, and there are no official words to do so!" She hissed, now on all fours, tail lashing, teeth barred. The fur on her neck prickled, and she could feel sudden tension in the air, Wildstar's shock and anger, her sister's rage and disbelief. The air seemed to crack with tension as she stood there, claws unsheathed, ready for a fight should one break out. Her heart was racing, and her breath was coming in short, shallow bursts.

Ashpaw nodded to Wildstar, then asked, "If there aren't words for it, how can it be done?" The apprentice paused. "Bonepa- kit... wait." He felt confused and angry at the same time. How could Wildstar do this? Was it StarClan's will?

Straightening up, the pointed she-cat began to make her way to the camp entrance, tail swishing behind her. But Yewstorm stopped abruptly as she heard the white and black kit's outburst. Turning around so quickly that her long ivory fur blew in the wind for a second before turning with her, the warrior's eyes and ears pricked with untold curiosity, although her opinion was quite different then Bonekit's.
Of course it was against StarClan's will that a kit would be seven moons old. But it wasn't it also against StarClan's will that rogue cats be allowed into the clan, no? So, in Yewstorm's rather egoistical mind, turning Bonepaw into Bonekit wasn't going against any code, because bringing Bonekit had made her already forfeit the right of the warrior code! Ready to voice her opinion, the look in Wildstar's eyes silenced the angry she-cat. Even cats like Yewstorm knew when they'd the limit, although Yewstorm had passed even that line on occasion.
Ignoring the furious looks on Ashpaw and Bonekit's faces when they looked at her, Yewstorm not so patiently waited for Wildstar's answer.
