Lightning let out a snort of contempt, "I see your Clan is as coarse as the sand you live on. Pity, I thought land-cats might be interesting." Lightning stood up taller, glaring at the healer of this Clan. "No matter. You will leave us in peace, or we willl leave you in pieces." He meowed strongly and challengingly, knowing his cats would be preparing for battle behind him.
Bubble spat on the ground in front of the other to-be and narrowed her eyes in anger. How dare she call the Tribe kittypets, whatever they might be. Bubble thrashed her tail back and forth, daring the other she-cat to attack her. They'd soon see who the better fighter was. "Ready to beat these squid-hearts into the ground?" She whispered quietly to Fish and Wood beside her; it was time to prove how good a boat-guard she could be.

"Ready?! I'm pratically ITCHING to get my claws through these slimy bass-brains!" Fish mewed in excited challenge. He couldn't wait to get his claws through their thick, dry fur. What wimps these cats were. Fish could be sure that these cats couldn't even swim even a shark-length through the ocean before drowning! Wood wasn't so sure. "C-calm down!" he mewed in quiet alarm. He didn't want a fight as soon as they got here. And what if something happened to fish?! That would be horrible!
Seapaw ground her sharp teeth together in fury, but said nothing more. She didn't want to cause a battle, the clan was tired from the day's events. But she wasn't going to relax either, and braced herself to fight.

"I bet they can't even swim!" Meowed Bubble scornfully, that was the ultimate insult to an Ocean Sea cat as even the smallest kit could paddle about within a couple moons. She didn't even bother to wonder if these cats would understand, assuming they knew Tribe terms. They didn't. Her gaze flickered to Wood, suprised, "Don't you want to show these shrimp-brains how real cats fight?" Bubble was keeping her voice low, so as not to appear rude or uncontrolled. She knew Lightning would not be pleased if she showed her Clan up like the other to-be had. [[I'm gonna wait for Wavestar to speak...]]

"Well..." wood mumbled, shuffling his feet in the sand. It felt foreign to him, standing on hard ground for so long. He was almost rigid waiting for the ground to move, so he could shift his weight, but it didn't happen, and he knew it wouldn't. "We've never really fought any other cats before, have we? It's just been us Ocean Sea cats. And we're not used to fighting on land. It might be harder than we think to...to fight these cats," He saw the disbelief in his brother's eyes and went back to kneading the sand, embarassment prickling through his fur. He wished he'd just nodded and kept his mouth shut.

Being one of the last cats to step off the boat, Light stole one last glance her home. The healer's speech had filled her with excitement and joy, but Light had been looking forward to giving birth to her kits, so they could feel the thrilling sensation of the rocking boat, and smell the passing sea, with all it's fish and salt. Maybe even see great things, like dolphins or maybe even a whale. But now she was on land, and already Light felt her long limbs shake at the strange steadiness of the ground, where new smells like grass and pines overcame her. Somehow stumbling over to her healer Lightning, the she-cat stayed behind, wondering how the rest of her tribe adjusted so quickly.
But when the land-cats spoke, Light forgot all her worries and let out a low sounding hiss. How dare they insult Ocean Sea? Anger blocked out any undertone of worry that could have shone through. All these cats were stocky and fat looking, even now her pregnancy Light was limber and agile, unlike these land-cats.
Island ran out towards the ground as the land-cats approached. Her striped tail stuck out for balance, but it didn't matter, Island got used to the land in seconds. With no regrets in her mind, the boat-guard sat, watching their strange new environment. The smells that washed up to her were enchanting, she had never smelled pine before. But now this strange new smell wafted up to her nose along with the salty smell of the sea and the dry taste of the sand. And when Island turned her head, she could see only land, not never-ending ocean. With all this Island lost her connection with the world, seeing only the large grey rocks, feeling only the grainy sand, and smelling only the foreign smells the wind brought.
Rain, on the other hand, ignored this new place completely, remaining just as silent as he always was. The only thing Rain cared about was the land-cats. The only thing that the tom gave some interest too. And they had not disappointed him, their hostile gazes only struck admiration in the tom's mind, not fear. Ocean sea could take on anyone they wanted, their tribe was strong and large, unlike this clan of fat cats who seemed to hardly have any members. Their territory would be good to live off, it was close to the sea, so the tribe could fish, and who knew what else lay inland that could eat? Maybe they could even put the clan to use, such as have them join the tribe to enlarge their powers even further! The newly made boat-guard lived in fantasies, like his sister, almost detaching from the waking world.
Penguinfur crinkled up his nose in disdain, mission all but forgotten. Even though he wanted to scold Seapaw for speaking out of turn, the deputy agreed to her words with all his heart. These cats should get off SandClan territory already, or they would get a close-up view of his claws and teeth. Waiting to see what Wavestar would declare, the tuxedo tom ran his tail in the sand, eyes blazing as he took in all the cats in the enemy tribe.

Wavestar glared at the cats, eyes flaming. "Stay here for the night? Eat our prey? Generally disrupt clan life?" She spat the words with open contempt. "Never!" The she cat bared her snow-white fangs and hissed, fur bristling as her tail twitched. Her claws were out, and she wouldn't hesitate if it meant scoring her claws into Ocean Sea...

Lightning stared at the other Healer levelly for a moment before giving an almost casual shrug. "Oh well. Let no cat say we did not warn you. You are a poor Healer though, for bringing this upon your Tribe." Then the fawn tom flicked his tail, giving his own Tribe the invitation they needed to fight. The light of battle blazed in his eyes and he was thankful of the fact that all Healer's required advanced battle-training from an experienced boat-guard before they could take the position. Otherwise the ex-fish-catcher wouldn' t have stood a chance. Lightning closed the space between him and the other healer in a second and aime d a swift and heavy swipe at her. At her healer's command, Bubble leapt forward with her claws unsheaethed, aiming to land on the out-spoken to-be's back. She knew her Tribe was strong, and full of boat-guards. Surely they could win this battle? Is this the first real battle of Warriors of Ice? Me thinks it is.

Wavestar spat, then launched herself at Lightning, preparing to sink her claws into his side, the she-cat raised a paw, claws shining. Dark hissed and charged forwards, scanning the area for an opponent. Sun yowled and bounded after Bubble at the SandClan cats, not sure how she would fight, since she had been trained as a fish-catcher.

Lightning twisted inthe way only and Ocean Sea cat could but it wasn't quite enough, he still felt the razor-sharp claws graze against his side. Wasting no time in any expression of pain or anger, the tom launched his own attack, attempting to claw at her back.

Wavestar yowled in pain as the claws raked through her silvery, amber-tinged fur, twisting around, she batted Lightning off her with her back legs and sunk her claws into his side, twisting them as deep as she could, which wasn't very deep considering the tom was strong and the fight was in its early stages.

Yowling loudly, Penguinfur jumped towards an Ocean Sea cat, Dark, his fur bristling. Unsheathing his long claws, the deputy slashed at the cat's face, hoping to draw blood. His fur was standing completely on end, making him look like a ridiculous puffball, but Penguinfur's eyes were alive with the spirit of the battle, ready to defend his homeland at all costs. Spine arched, the tom waited for the boat-guards retaliation, Keeping one eye on his fighting leader.
Light let out a small gasp, then moved to the back of the group. As an ex-fish-catcher she would be of no use, and the kits in her stomach would only slow her down. Besides, a cat might attack at her soft belly and hurt the cats. Fear-scent wafting off her in torrents, the kit-mother curled her tail around her legs as she spat, but Light was sure it was useless, as she was terrified and showing. But soon the she-cat was comforted by Island, who brushed her tail against Light's legs, reassuring the she-cat. Island would stand guard of Light, as she carried the tribe's only kits in her belly.
Rain jumped further into the territory, his fur standing on end, and blue eyes full of fire. Waving his tail back and forth, the boat-guard hissed, hoping he was showing some determination. It was his first battle, after all. Watching as the tribe healer was clawed by the clan healer, Rain quickly lept on Wavestar, waving his claws on her side, attempting to distract her so Lightning would attack from the other side.

Dark hissed as the side of his face began to leak blood, the tom hurled himself viciously at Penguinfur, raking his pale white claws down the SandClan deputy's leg. His black, blue-tinted fur wafting and whipping about in the wind, green eyes glittering coldly, as if daring anyone to mock him.
Wavestar spat at the attacking cat, Rain and tore her claws out of Lightning's flesh, she rounded on Rain and, flinching at her wound, scored a claw down from the tom's ear to his chin.

Sun paused, not sure what to do, then seeing Light, asked. "Should I help guard?" He mewed, hoping for a chance to do something that he thought he could do. Having the sea behind him helped, since he could see all attacking and hopefully scare them off with a few bites and scratches.

Rain hissed in pain and anger as his fur began to soak up the blood. Letting go of Wavestar's fur, the tom rose up, attempting to get a hold of the healer's neck. In reality, he was just bidding for time, a boat-guard with hardly a moon's experience could never face off against a full-fledged clan healer. Waiting desperately for Lightning to recover then attack, Rain hoped to hide his fear by glaring at the land-she-cat, his eyes full of anger at his wound, which began to cloud his vision as blood leaked into his left eye.
Penguinfur cried out as he felt the tribe-cat's claws sink into his leg, drawing out think red blood. Wrath showing in his eyes, the deputy raked his pale claws on the tribe-cats back, looking to return what the tom given him. Every bone in Penguinfur's body was burning with a strange fire, urging him to protect his territory, no matter the cost. He had to kill this tom in order to show that tribe how great SandClan really was!
Light nodded at Sun. "Thank you. I could use the help." The she-cat meowed warmly, while Island smiled at the tom, glad for the extra help.
