The Territory
PineClan territory is the most sheltered of all the clan territories. It is not a thick forest, rather, an area of spread-out, randomly placed pine trees. The ground is layered with a thin blanket of pine needles, which are soft and make hardly any noise when walked on. Below these needles is frozen soil, mixed with ice.
On the far end of the territory is a large cave, in which some huge brown bears reside. They sometimes wander through the forest, but never come near the camp.
The Camp
On one end of the camp, opposite the bear cave, is an area thicker with trees than the rest of the wooded area. This is where the PineClan camp is located. In this area, there is a huge pine tree with sagging limbs that toutch the ground, thick with pine needles. These limbs create an enclosed area which is used as the warrior's and apprentice den. A long abandoned fox burrow is used as the nursery, and elders sleep under a bush thick with spiky brables on the outside, that is lined with soft moss and hard-packed snow on the inside. The medicine cat is located in an overturned, hollowed out log. Finally, the clan leader, deputy, and their mates live together in an abandoned falcon's nest located on one of the lower branches of a tree. Warrior cerimonies and meetings within the clan are held in the center of the camp, by a tree stump on which the leader stands.
The Prey
Here, prey is scarce, but squirrels, various birds, mice, and other small woodland creatures can be found.
The Cats
The cats who live here are exceptional tree climbers, as they often must climb trees in order to catch prey and collect bedding made of old bird's nests. From a young age, cats are taught how to catch birds, climb trees, and most importantly, always land on their feet when falling. They know that they needn't fear the bear on their territory as long as they stay out of it's way.
