Sunpaw remembered what Ebonystar had said about her being able to start towards SandClan territory when Needlegaze returned, and so, without a second thought she scrambled as best as she could towards the border, heading to the sea. [[Going to SandClan territory.]]

Ebonystar shook his large head, black fur rippling as he did so. "No, we should have someone stay and guard the camp. Hummingsky and Eaglefeather have already set out to help Adderpaw and Skypaw." The leader flicked his tail to the medicine cat's den, which in the apprentice's hurry, had been left completely unguarded. How sad his clan had become, if they couldn't even wait for their leader's instructions on something. Didn't it ever occur to them that the enemy cats might split into two groups, and attack PineClan? They were the one's with the best territory, after all. Closing his large, dull eyes, the tom tensed, waiting for Needlegaze to regain his breath.

OoC;; as I asked on the SandClan territory, might I have a quick re-cap of what's going on? I'd love to start roleplaying again...

[[ooc;; sure, emmy! A lot has happened, so I've sent you a PM with all the latest news!]]
Through all his panic over the day's events, Needlegaze hadn't even stopped to think about guarding the camp. Dipping his head in apology to his leader, his fur prickled in slight embarassment. "Forgive me, Ebonystar," he mewed in an unwavering monotone, "for heading out of camp before asking your permission. Of course, the camp needs guarding. I'll be happy to stay here and do so." He then stood tall, waiting for his leader to dismiss him to stand by the entrance or something of the sort. His heart was pounding, and he was worried about the day's happenings. Times were not pleasant, lateley. In fact, for him, life was devistatingly horrible. But he didn't show that. It would be a sign of weakness, so he continued standing still, limbs stiff and strong, eyes still and clear.
Dustwater had calmed down considerably, though she wondered what all the yowling was about. Nestling her precious kit, she was glad to see her warm and well-rested, giving the occasional mew. This kit she would guard with her life. She cleaned her often, as if trying to keep her new, neat, safe. She fed her at the slightest whimper, and always kept the tiny cat close. She was, however, anxious to see what was going on. Poking her head out of the nursery, she felt a cold wind, and shivered. So much warmer it was in the nursury, the body heat of the cats who had been there recently kept it snug and moist. "Needlegaze?" she mewed, realizing she was interrupting his conversation with the leader, "Ebonystar? What's going on?" She felt her kit nestled at her foot, giving mews every few seconds, and, while reassured that she was safe, hoped that they would answer quickly so she could wrap herself around the tiny being again.

Hummingsky had only been missing for a while; searching for fresh-kill and such. Food wasn't just going to appear in the pile; someone had to retrieve some. Glancing around, she wondered what was happening. Hopefully not much; she didn't like missing out on such news. Placing her few scrawny birds on the pile, she sat, tail wrapped around her legs, hoping for the news.

Glancing at his leader as the two she-cats asked what was going on, Needlegaze decided it was best he stayed out of the explanation. After all, his leader was angry at him, and he did not want to speak when Ebonystar was entitled to words, for fear of angering his leader more. Instead, he dipped his head submissivley, waiting for his leader to speak.
Dustwater narrowed her eyes at the cat, wondering where she had been, but soon realized that she was one to wonder, sneaking off into the no-lands to laze about with her friends all the time and eat city mice! Glancing at her feet and purring in love and affection at her kit, she suddenly felt at peace with the world. Realizing as a gust of wind blew sharp, cold air at her face how very icy it was outside of the den, she hoped she'd get an answer soon so that she could go inside. And why was Needlegaze acting so submissive? He usually acted like he owned the place. This sent a shock of fear down her spine. Needlegaze could't own it! She had to have control of it so that she could sucessfully help Swallow. Gazing down at the kit at her paws, she wondered what type of life it would lead. How it would live. All she knew was, she wasn't letting it out of her sight. She would care for this cat 'till her dying day.

Ebonystar remained where he was. "A new group of cats has arrived and attacked StarClan." The cat attempted to summarize the entire event in one sentence. "Hummingsky, go to SandClan and help Skypaw, Adderpaw and Eaglefeather." Looking sharply at the she-act and vaguely wondering where she had been, Ebonystar turned back to Dustwater. There wasn't any need to command the she-cat to stay in the camp, there was no chance she would abandon her kit randomally to head into SandClan territory.
Scraping his paws on the hard ground, Ebonystar turned to Needlegaze. "When our cats come back, I want you to help Adderpaw in fixing up the camp." Flicking his tail to the toppling elders den, the large tom walked off back into his den, sitting down on the soft moss that lined it.

Once his leader was out of earshot, Needlegaze gave a heavy sigh. He had disgraced the clan, and was now paying for it like an apprentice! Though he did not agree with his leader's punishment, he did not argue; as a loyal clan cat, he had to respect his leader's every word. Padding back to Dustwater in disdain, he slipped into the nursury to gaze at his kit. She was looking better now, as Dustwater noticed. She was well fed, and had bushy, brown and black fur, with piercing blue eyes.
Dustwater settled down, pulling the kit close to her with her tail. She was still unclear, and upon asking Needlegaze, he explained the whole situation to her. Sighing, she leaned down to give her kit a tender lick between the ears. What a bad time for the tiny cat to be born! What horrors would she live through? Blinking rapidly at the thought, Dustwater found that this was not a question she would like to ask herself. After a brief silence, Dustwater decided to change the subject from ideas of doomsday. "I've come up with a name for the kit," she mewed softly giving the scrap of fur several more licks. It sighed contentedly. "Oh?" Needlegaze replied, eyes brightening. "Agamakit," Dustwater continued, "For her bright blue eyes and brown fur. Like the Agama lizard."
Needlegaze nodded in enthusiastic agreement before leaning over to lick the kit himself. He liked using the name of a lizard for his only kit. It was fierce and bold. Padding over to sit closer to his mate, Needlegze curled against Dustwater and waited for the fight to be over. It certianly was warm, and moments later, he was falling asleep.
Agamakit gazed around. She was very warm, and liked the smell around her, sweet with milk and warm air. Gazing up at her mother, she purred, snuggling against her warm, fluffy fur, and gave a great sight of contentment. She liked it here in the den, and her eyes were growing heavy. A few hours ago she hadn't been so content, but now, that was all forgotten. She had a full belly, a snug den, and a warm mother to fall asleep into, and so she did.

Hummingsky nodded, and briskly turned to trot away, dropping her head a bit. She was embarrassed to have been gone so long, and didn't like all the look s and stares she got. She trudged out of the camp, headed for SandClan territory.

Sunpaw headed back to camp, exhausted. As soon as she reached the apprentice den, she slumped down, and in seconds her beautiful brown eyes had closed and she was breathing softly, asleep.

Miragestep sighed, dragging himself back to the clan. Bronzeleaf had caught his foot on a hidden root and ended up nearly cutting it off, so he spent most of the day putting herb after herb on it and wrapping almost the entire leg in cobwebs. Hopefully, Ebonystar would understand. He had too, seeing as Bronzeleaf limped behind him; grumbling about StarClan knows what. "Miragestep, hurry up, will yah? I'ahm feelin' a bit...woozy." Behind him, the Medicine Cat's closest friend called, ears flattened tightly against his head. Said tom turned around, glaring heatedly at the orange tabby warrior who in turn lowered himself down to the ground. "No. You will suffer." He hissed, not in the mood. He needed to prepare for more cats returning from SandClan, and the fact that his apprentice was still there with Adderpaw didn't help. He never got a break, did he?
"R-r-right..." Bronzeleaf nodded, but continued to grumble all the way to the warriors den. Back outside, Miragestep sighed; tail drooping at the thought of all the injured cats returning. He hated this part of being a Medicine Cat, especially when someone passed away. Then came the task of comforting loved ones, and attempting to find out a way to make sure it never happened again; that is, if it was a disease-caused death. If it was treason, or murder, he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Pausing in mid-step, Miragestep started thinking about Skypaw. Would she return safely? What about Adderpaw? No, he didn't need to worry about the tom. Skypaw knew what to due, though...he didn't teach her everything...
Shivering slightly, Miragestep pushed all of those terror-strickening thoughts into the back of his mind before heading over to Ebonystar; tipping his head down in slight respect before sitting down wearily. "Pardon my absence. Bronzeleaf caught his paw on a root, and if he had returned to camp without any medical care, it would've become infected..." He trailed off, lowering his head. "Skypaw and Adderpaw will return safely, right? Skypaw is one of the only cats I consider close enough to be family, aside from Bronzeleaf. I need to know that she will be all right..." His orange-amber eyes did not hide his emotions, though he did not try to hide them.

Needlegaze awoke at the sound of cats returning to camp. Lifting his head up groggily, he shook his fur, giving Dustwater and Agamakit a tender lick between the ears before slipping out of the nursery, and back into the cold. Giving a small shiver, he padded over to where the returning cats were standing. "How did the battle go?" he asked, his body rigid, giving the appearance of official, and very slight, urgency. He didn't like to show too much emotion, but was prepared to behave in as formal a manner as possible. He glanced around, stern eyes flicking back and fourth, hoping no cat had gotten severley injured. At least their medicine cat was back.

Miragestep looked up, smiling weakly at the sight of Agamakit. "Ah, I see we have a new arrival..." He spoke lightly, his tired voice particularly smooth when around kits. "She is beautiful..." Shaking his head slightly, the tom examined the small kit before nodding carefully. "Her breathing patterns are stable and she appears to be in good shape. A healthy kit you've got there." Miragestep gave a gentle, fleeting laugh before turning around and pacing back over to the leader.
Bronzeleaf stretched, listening idly to the conversing cats outside. His paw ached horribly, causing his entire leg to numb slightly but yet the pain coursed through him despite the numbness. A snort escaped his pink-black nose, tail lashing back and forth irritably. He wanted to get back outside and fight, but with Miragestep on watch and his wounded paw, he wouldn't be going anywhere as of now.

Dustwater purred as Miragestep poked his slender grey head into the nursury, complimenting the state of Agamakit. Feeling her throat close in and her eyes water when he called her kit beautiful, she remembered once again the kits who had died for her only child in SnowClan, and surpressed a yowl of angish, instead, choking out, "Th-thank you. Her name is Agamakit," she tried to keep her tone bright, as a newly birthed mother's should be. She felt the tiny kit sunggle close against her belly and sighed as Miragestep left the den. Putting her head down on her paws to stare at the face of Agamakit, she purred.
Agamakit's eyes drifted open. Giving an immense yawn, she sunggled close to her mother before giving an excited mew. She saw her mother's eyes narrow in affection, and, liking the gesture, purred very contentedly and began suckling, the warm milk of her mother running into her tiny mouth, some of it trickling down her jaw, making tiny splats on the ground.

Stormcloud swallowed once nervously before gathering himself and purposely flattening the hair on his pelt and banishing any fear-scent he may have been giving out. This was not the time for uncertainty. He padded forward peacefully, making certain not to give any implications of hostility. "Cats of PineClan, we mean you no harm. I wish to speak to Ebonystar and Miragestep." He meowed with as much confidence as he could muster, not making eye contact with any cats in particular and making sure Bonepaw was close.
