The Territory
Possibly the harshest of all the territories, cats living here are anything but faint of heart. Located on the peak of a mountain, in the deepest snow with the harshest winds and the feircest weather, SnowClan territory is barren and hostile. There is little to see but rock and sheets of snow.
The Camp
At the very peak of the mountain, out of the snow and harsh weather, is a large, spacious cave, with enough room for the whole clan. The cave is well sheltered and warm, it keeps out weather and cold. In one corner, reeds, bits of old nests, moss, and anything else soft that the cats could find has been assembled as general bedding for all of the warriors. A small cove in the wall is home for queens and kits as a nursery, and apprentices and elders sleep in the same sort of bedding as the warriors. A pile of collapsed rock leads up to a small ledge, where the leader, deputy, and their mates reside. An area between a large boulder and the cave wall is where the medicine cat has its den. On the far end of the cave is another smaller collapsed pile of rocks on which the leader stands in the event of an in-clan meeting and warrior ceremony.
The Prey
Up here, there's hardly any prey. Some snow white hares reside up here in caves and the occasional snow burrow. On occasion, a patrol of all the warriors will go out and attack a yak kit or snow leopard kit to bring back for food, but this is extremley rare, and often resutls in injured or even dead cats. It occurs about once every five moons, as the food usually lasts for a long time. Sometimes birds can be caught, but mainly, these cats starve or eat withered, half-grown reeds or twigs.
The Cats
These cats have the thickest pelts one can imagine. They are often temporarily blinded outdoors by fierce sheets snow and wind pelting down on them, and so, their sense of hearing and smell is incredible. They are small cats, with short limbs, which helps their circulation at such a high elevation. They are fierce warriors, and vicious prey hunters. They are usually good tempered cats, except with enemies, and struggle a lot. Many cats die in the many bitter winters that shake the mountain, but SnowClan recover quickly. They are perfectly adapted to their habitat, and can certainly endure the worst.
