"Of course!" Raindance replied, feeling stupid for not remembering where the apprentice had suggested going when it was so obvious. She set the herbs down at his feet. "Why don't you take these back to Nightstream and get the berries too. I'll head over that way and get the rabbit, then come back. It'll be faster if we split up. I know it's not such a great idea, but those clouds look like they could start snowing hard any moment, and cats should be back in the cave as soon as possible." she mewed, casting an anxious glance at the overcast sky before heading back in the direction that they came.

Mosspaw nodded, picking up the heady bunch of neatly packed herbs. He ambled swiftly away, towards SnowClan, humming through the medicine. And, just as swiftly, hoped Raindance would fare well through the sleet and snow.

Raindance began racing back to where she had caught the rabbit as the wind picked up and started buffeting her fur. Fortunatley, she was running in the same direction as it, snow beginning to barrel itself at her back as she wound around the foot of the mountain, mouth open to help her scent the place that she had left the hare.
By the time she reached the border with PineClan, snow was falling, lightly down at the foot of the mountain, but gazing worridley up to the top where the camp was, she knew it was a blizzard. Feeling around in the snow, she finally found the rabbit. All of the warmth had drained out of its furry body, and it was hard and frozen. She had to bite extra hard to get a hold on the creature, and hoped it would thaw out so that a cat would be able to enjoy it. She then began racing up the mountain.
The journey to the top was steep and slippery. Craggy rock was frozen over with a thin sheet of ice, and the higher up she got, the harder snow barreled down at her. She was taking the quickest route to the camp--unfortunatley, this meant traveling against the wind, and she felt the sting of icy air in her face as she scrambled up the mountain face, digging her sharp claws into the ice to keep from slipping. She fell more than once. At least she had her thick fur to keep her relativley warm. Trembling, she finally pushed herself up to the flat stone outside of the cave, exhausted and drained of energy, she heaved herself several more paces into the camp.

Tarsen crept silently into SnowClan territory, the loner glanced back at Tizzy and slipped further in, relishing his first expirience in territoy, however dangerous it was. The amber-eyes, tortoiseshell tom supresed a purr of intense delight.

Tizzy slipped in after tarsen, stepping lightly on the cold, stone ground. Every step sent a chill of excitement speeding through her long body, and she padded up to Tarsen quickly and silently, fur prickling in sudden alertness and excitement. "Stay as close to the border as you can," she murmured, "and stay quiet and hidden." She then began walking along quietly, staying shrouded by rocks and bushes, Tarsen close behind. Galncing up at the sky, she was glald that a light, but fresh coat was falling at the bottom of the mountain, though it looked vicious at the top. It was unlikely that clan cats would venture out of their camp in such weather, and certainly not to the bottom of the mountain. The fresh snow would also help mask their trail, should some cat find their scent.

Tarsen nodded silently, looking fondly after Tizzy. He lowered himself towards the hard, snow-packed ground, and crept after her, nose tingling as the SnowClan scent overwhelmed him. He suppressed a delighted purr and the temptation to bound about like a kit, opening his jaw to the sky to catch snowflakes, just for the pure pleasure of it... All those things he had never got to do. But that was changing.

Tizzy's belly grumbled as she skirted the edge of SnowClan territory, Tarsen at her side. She stayed in the undergrowth, moving silently, and wished that her pelt wasn't so dark. The wind was picking up, icy and harsh, buffeting her fur. Bushes and shrubs swayed violently in the wind, and scracthed at her fur a bit as a terrible snow began to fall. It was fast and whipping, with only a few scattered snowflakes. Nevertheless, they slammed into her fur, penetrating her pelt and hitting her flanks with an icy sting she didn't know was possible. Glancing at blackened sky, she knew that nighttime was close. They'd need to find a place to camp out, and fast, before the storm got even worse. She was relieved when, rounding a tight corner and avoiding a flying, thorny twig, she caught sight of the gap between JaggedClan and SnowClan. Bounding into it, she stood tall, stretching her tight muscles, which had been cramped from crouching so low as the cats had maneuvered through SnowClan territory. But now, they were on neutral ground, and they could theoretically stay here as long as they wanted, not that they wanted to, the space could hold about five cats before one stepped onto clan borders, and she quickly padded over to a small hole in the ground. An abandoned animal burrow, she knew, and not very big at all, but the space was otherwise barren, and this was the only place they could camp out. "I guess we'll have to sleep in here." she said, pointing her tail towards the burrow that could probably hold no more than three or four cats. Her black eyes flicked about, but there was no other decent shelter in the area, so she slipped into the space. It was big enough, she realized when she entered. There was no scent of any animal, it had been abandoned for quite a while, and the celing was the stone of the mountain, the floors and walls, frozen earth. She settled down, curling up into a tiny ball in the corner of the burrow, and waited for Tarsen to slip in after her.

Tarsen swept in after her, his tortoiseshell fur tickled with snow, so that he was almost white. He smiled amber eyes gleaming and curled into a tight ball next to Tizzy, feeling warmer and happier than he had ever done. His amber eyes shut closed and he realised how tired he was. So he slept.

Tarsen's warm body next to hers reminded Tizzy of how sleepy she was. It had been a long day. She gave an immense yawn and stretched her jaws wide before resting her head on her paws and drifting into sleep.
She dreamt a strange dream. She was sitting alone on a piece of driftwood. All around her was the sea, there was no land visible on the stretching horizon. The murky green waters were perfectly still. Not a spray of water, not a tiny wave, moved the vast expanse of ocean. She did not move.
Tizzy woke up confused and disoriented. Eyes clawing at the darkness, she suddnely caught a patch of light, and smelled tarsen's warm pelt next to hers. Relaxing, she remembered where she was. Not wanting to wake Tarsen, she lay still, eyes wide. Her belly grumbled--they'd have to hunt quickly before continuing on their journey once Tarsen was awake.

Tarsen sleepily half opened his eyes, blinking blearily he yawned and ambled tiredly up. "Think we'll be able to get to the sea today?" He asked Tizzy through another yawn as his paws fumbled slightly on the ground.

Tizzy purred in amusement at Tarsen's groggy state. "Maybe, if we get a move on and wake up." she mewed playfully, giving his ear a soft flick with her tail, eyes narrowed in amusement. She slipped out of the den and into the morning air. It was so cold out here, compared to the warmth of the den that the two cats had shared, and Tizzy gave a brief shiver, realizing that this is what it must be like to leave a warrior den in the morning. Looking around, she scented the air. It was best not to hunt on clan territory, which would be a problem, seeing as the space was so small, she'd have to act fast if any prey entered it. Suddenly, a bird swooped low, and Tizzy leaped into the air as it did, snagging its feathers as it flew by. She then pinned it to the ground and gave its neck a swift bite with her sharp fangs, listening as a sickening crack sounded, presumably from its neck. She purred at her catch, and turned to Tarsen, indicating that he could share if he so wished, settling down and waiting for him to join her.

Tarsen jumped up after her, shaking his head groggily and purring at Tizzy's catch. "I wonder what will be beyond the sea." He thought aloud, taking a small clump of the bird. Purring from Tizzy's side.

"I know!" Tizzy mewed. The excitement was rushing back into her at the mention of what could be at sea, and it tingled from paws to tail-tip as she ate another chunk of the bird, purring in excitement. "There's so much that could be out there! So much to see!" She mewed excitedly. She could barely contain her excitement any longer, and scarfed down her share of the bird quickly so that they could get a move on, prancing around the small clearing with joy and purring loudly.

Tarsen took another bite, his amber eyes sad. "I'll be leaving so many memories behind." He murmured folornly. "Of my parents and sister..." He could remember them well. FelĂcia especially; his sister, he could almost feel her soft, silvery-blue fur that covered her slender body. Dark, lime green eyes that glinted with intelligence...

Tizzy purred in amusement at herself for what she would be leaving behind--nothing. Fantasy, imagination, but nothing real. Her life had started when she met Tarsen. She wasn't leaving anything behind, in fact, everything was just starting. "I won't be leaving anything, except maybe fantasies," Tizzy admitted shyly, clawing at the ground. But she didn't miss the wistful look in her friend's eyes. "What exactly are you leaving behind, if you don't mind my asking?" She mewed, curiosity pricking at her fur.
