Stolenpaw nodded and watched as his sister ran at the speed of light back to get help. Onyxpaw would need it. He turned and trudged through the snow, luckily most of the snow finished it's run down the mountain and only a bit was moving, but Onyxpaw was still down there. Stolenpaw glanced back over his shoulder, nope no one yet. He stopped short as he stared at the large pile of snow before him. Gotta do this for Onyxpaw! He dived in, hitting the rock without knowing it. 'Ouch' he murmured through gritted teeth and ignored the slight amount of pain. He kicked with such a force that snow actually could be seen spraying from the outside of the snow dune. Soon, he could feel something, fur! He knew it was Onyxpaw. He searched for her scruff and clamped it in his jaws, pulling her out while gasping for air.
He made it. He burst through the side of the snow and fell onto the ground, still holding onto Onyxpaw. She was still alive though, she was breathing, but she was unconcious. He licked her softly and sighed. Breathing heavily he laid on the ground beside her, his heart pounding a mile a minute.

Breath coming in ragged gasps and her paws searing from cold and the repeated impact of running to and from the cave camp so many times that day, Horsepaw couldn't help feeling a bit of an adrenaline rush as she neared the place where the snow had come crashing down atop Onyxpaw. This was some excitement! This was, or would be, really fun if it wasn't for the fact that her brother could be lying -
"Stolenpaw! You're not dead!" He yowled happily as she cleared the top of a snowdrift to see his familiar ashen pelt. He was leaning over another cat though, presumably Onyxpaw. So he had gone in after her. That was another apprentice in possible critical condition. SnowClan was not having a lucky moon for she-cat apprentices. Of course, they would get better. They wouldn't just die because that would be mean of StarClan. But it didn't bode well for her and Ashenpaw. The way things were going, they were next in line for the medicine cat den.
Coming to a sliding halt by her brother, Horsepaw gave a barely-audible whimper at the sight of her unconscious denmate. This didn't seem that fun any more. "Is she alright?" Horsepaw meowed quietly to her brother, searching his face for signs of agreement as she knew he wouldn't speak. If he shook his head...it didn't bear thinking of.

Stolenpaw looked up. His head hurt really bad. He shrugged, like he would know. He tail danced along the snow. He nudged Onyxpaw slightly, no response. He looked up at Raindance and looked down at Onyxpaw. "How were they going to carry her all that way? So far it seemed. Glancing at Horsepaw, Stolenpaw stumbled as he stood up.
---
Onyxpaw felt like she was flying. Was this her punishment for leaving camp and calling Ashnepaw all those mean things? All Onyxpaw saw was white, like the snow in SnowClan. She could hear the voices of Horsepaw and Raindance, but there was another cat, the one who saved her, but who?

Seeing that her brother's heroic deeds had left him with a bit of a headache, and possibly more, Horsepaw immediately went to stand beside him. She offered a brown-striped tabby should for support and watched him as his eyes flickered between the cats assembled. Horsepaw understood instantly - he had a good point. "How are we going her all the way back to camp?" She asked for her brother, flicking her tail toward the ashen tom to indicate that she was speaking on his behalf.
It was a usual occurrence for the SnowClan cats to see Horsepaw suddenly say something very uncharacteristic or ask an unusually insightful question accompanied by a flick of the brown-laced tail in Stolenpaw's direction. It was pretty much standard now and most cats would realise that she was playing the part of her brother's mouth. One day, maybe, he'd regain his confidence and speak out loud freely but until then Horsepaw was just fine with being a mouthpiece. Selfishly, she kind of liked it that way because she knew he wouldn't - couldn't - run away like this. No-one else could understand him as well as her. Yet.

ยบ As Raindance flew down the hill, her mind was in a frenzy. Outside, however, she looked just as sleek and elegant as ever. Long, soft gray-green fur whipped behind her as icy wind shot through her pelt, and with each delicate but quick-footed pawstep, she sent a spray of pure white snow behind her. When she suddenly slowed to a stop beside the three apprentices, she was out of breath, but full of adrenaline and slightly frantic.
She gave a sigh of relief as she saw Onyxpaw seemingly safe-and-sound by Stolenpaw's side. "Thank StarClan!" she mewed, her breath coming out in airy puffs. Though the weather was getting slightly less cold, conditions didn't seem to be improving much on the icy mountain that Raindance called home.
Leaning over the little apprentice, she caught the soft rise-and-fall of an unconscious chest and hot, shallow breaths emerging from the she-cat's maw.
"How are we going her all the way back to camp?"
Blinking in confusion for a moment at Horsepaw's words before catching the flick of her tail and feeling somewhat relieved, Raindance wordlessly leaned over Onyxpaw, lifting her gently by the scruff of the neck as she'd done to Cherrykit moments ago.
Umph. A kit certainly was much lighter than an apprentice. But deciding that she could manage, Raindance began the long trudge up the familiar mountainface, flicking her tail as an indication that Stolenpaw and Horsepaw should follow. StarClan, was the medicine cat's den going to be crowded today!

Stolenpaw got to his paw's, leaning against Horsepaw. He was glad to have his sister, even though he didn't want to remind himself of his family. He turned to look back at the pile of snow and shuddered. He just dove in there twice, rescuing Horsepaw AND Onyxpaw. Lots of work for an apprentice. He laid his silvery-gray tail on Horsepaw's tabby back and trudged along-side her through the snow, following Raindance. She sure was a strong cat; carrying Onyxpaw with all of that fur. He wondered how Phoenixpaw was doing and how the rest of camp was doing. Mythdream was going to be busy tonight.

Horsepaw was more than happy to support her brother. She was hardly going to duck away after he had saved her life. He was a bit heavier than she remembered but the brown tabby apprentice hid this fact very well as not to make him feel guilty at all. That was something he didn't deserve. She watched Raindance carry Onyxpaw on ahead and was relieved to see the long fur on her rising and falling ever so slightly. She would live. She absolutely had to.
Horsepaw wondered if the cats would be back from the Gathering by the time they got back but she doubted it. This was all set to be a long one, what with that JaggedClan tom's clawing up poor Phoenixpaw. Horsepaw usually wished she'd been where the action was but for once the apprentice was glad that she hadn't witnessed a battle. She'd have to ask Phoenixpaw what it felt like to get her guts clawed out later on though. Once she was up to it.
Looking ahead, Horsepaw saw that they had nearly reached camp. Feeling that her brother might not have noticed this in his weakened state, she decided to point it out. "We're nearly there, Stolenpaw." The she-cat meowed quietly, as close to her brother's ear as she could reach.
