Beyond the thinly-scattered trees of PineClan, and the huge, frost-laden slopes of SnowClan is an area that cats call the Lands of Soot.
In the Lands of Soot, rogues and kittypets reside.
Some live in the town
The place where buildings are packed together, and monsters prowl thin, slippery thunderpaths. Sometimes the ice monster comes to wipe the streets clean of ice and blankets of snow. Other times, the twoleg foodplace is opened, and cats dart to the entrance, stealing morsels of greasy twoleg food. The cats living in the town aren't scared of monsters, and rummage through dumpsters. Sometimes they'll catch a rat or two. Some live on their own, others in groups. All cats know this is the center of the soot--the huge soot building pumps soot out of large tubes in the roof day and night.
Some live in the twolegplace
These cats live in warm homes. From trailer parks to the twoleg mansion, cats live in peace with the pink, hairless twolegs, as dim-witted as they are, and as bland and dry as the food is. The cats in this area rarley travel out. Some are fat and plump. Their coats are thick and clean, and they have little muscle or hunting skill, let alone survival instinct. Still, they live comfortable lives.
Some live in the no-lands
In the nolands at the base of the mountain, some cats live in the wild. They avoid the clans, and are skilled at hunting and living on their own. Some travel in groups, others, alone. These cats are just as hardy and wild as the warrior cats, but they don't have a code or a camp. They are nomads. They can hunt and fend for themselves. They spit at the mention of kittypets and clans. Sometimes, they band together with cats of the town, but they still think town cats are inferior and unable to fend for themselves.
So where do you stand?
