Swallow's whiskers twitched. "Forest cats? Well, I'm a ro- loner from the no-lands if that's what you mean." She sensed, with satisfaction, that Winter did not seem to be aware of the other side of her. Too bad Tizzy seemed to remain suspicious. She'll come around. Swallow told herself confidently, after all, I did just find her mate's sister for them. "How is the prey running in Soot City?" The tuxedo she-cat inquired politely to Winter.

"The no-lands? I've never heard of that.." The white cat was oblivious to the near-slip in the Swallow's explanation. There was a reason simple-minded cats were created, and that was to be controlled by other, stronger cats. "Well, there are a couple of rats, but most of the time we eat from the two-leg trash.." Winter said, embarrassment apparent in his tone. "How's prey in the no-lands? Oh, and I'm Winter." Watching the other cats talk among themselves, Winter nearly forgot the question Swallow had neatly dodged. "But what are you doing here?" The tom inquired, no hostility in his voice.

Dusk pondered Swallow's suggestion. It seemed unlike her to agree to rule alongside another, and she got the feeling her old friend was trying very hard to get her involved. Swallow's idea would be ideal. Dusk--or rather, Dustwater--would just have to work extra hard to get to the top. "Yes, I think your idea will do," she replied slowly, "I'll become leader, and we can take over together...Swallow you make this seem so small." She paused when her friend turned to a white cat hanging about a few foxlenghts away and began chatting with him, obviously hoping to gain another recruit in him. This gave her the opprotunity to mull over her friend's proposition some more, and she stared at the sky in thought.
Tizzy glanced at Tarsen. "Well, we're, uh, going..." here she trailed off, letting her deep black eyes wander to Tarsen's face, to see if it was okay with him if she told where they were going off to. She didn't want to say anything that he would regret or be mad about later, his friendship meant a lot to her, and she wasn't going to loose it over letting something slip.

"Oh we were just finding Felicita." She meowed uncaringly, "Perhaps you'd like to come see the no-lands with us? We're going back now and it's quite...different to here." Swallow's ears suddenly twitched in the direction of the other cats. Leaving? They couldn't leave! She had to do something, quick. "Surely you're not serious about sailing the ocean? Do you have any idea how dangerous it is? Or how wet? Wouldn't it be terrible if you found your sister only to have her drown at sea?" The tuxedo queen directed the last question at Tarsen, hoping he would begin to have doubts.

Felicia tilted her head to one side. Tarsen hesitated, glancing at Tizzy. "The sea." "The sea?!" Felicia yelped, eyes widening. "But..." The two were silent, Tarsen murmured in Tizzy's ear. "She'll... umm... come around?"

Tizzy nodded vigorously at Tarsen's reply. She really hoped it was true, that Felicia would come around. Because she would feel terrible if she didn't. Glancing at the awestruck she-cat, she tried to find the right words. "We have good reson for it. Really, we do. If you think about it, it makes sense..." she trailed off. Swallow was now speaking about why they shouldn't go. It wasn't helping, and she hissed irritably under her breath at the she-cat's cold remarks.

Winter stole a glance at the two arguing cats. "I'd love to see the no-lands!" The thought of going to the no-lands was great, as there was supposed to be more prey there. Winter once again turned his attention to cats. Leave? Why would anyone want to leave here? This was a great place, it was idiotic to risk everything just to move somewhere else, where nothing was promised, no?! "Why would you want to leave?" The loner inquired, edging closer to the cats.
Fier Neve rolled his eyes. Idiots. The only thing that concerned him was Swallow's friendliness. It just wasn't natural for a cat to be so hostile one second, and then friendly the next, and then go off to whisper to that Dusk-cat. But, she did seem genuine, or else she wouldn't go all the way over to the town with them..

Tizzy heasistated at Winter's question. She started slowly. "I guess we feel that things are too...restricted here. Too normal, too predictable. We want to see other lands and other places. The birds that fly in--they have to have come from some land. The twoleg garbage washing up has to come from somewhere. And we want to see where those things come from. We want to explore, not just sit around in places cats already discovered. That's why we want to travel." She paused, examining the cat's expression closely for mocking or skepticism.

"Restricted? But there are so many things here! I've never been in the no-lands before, and I bet you've never been in the Town before.." Winter answered, his eyes widening. But this entire place was so.. large! How could anyone feel restricted? Then again, Winter was used to just staying in his little ally-way, and didn't know what it was like to travel all over, which was why he couldn't understand how anyone would think the world was small. But there was no criticism in his voice, just wonder. "And why by sea? You could walk to new places.. On the sea you'd have to eat disgusting fish!" Fish were always the tom's most hated food. Unfortunately, the city two-legs loved it, and it often appeared in trash cans and dumpsters.

"Fish isn't so bad," Tizzy pondered, trying to imagine herself on a piece of driftwood at Tarsen's side, trying to catch a fish. She had done it many times living on SandClan territory, but it was hard to imagine doing on a wobbly piece of wood with another cat on board. "It's more restricted than you know, Winter, and why the sea? Well, it's...it's so big! And hardly any cats have ever visited it before. It's not a feat. They haven't explored it. But...walking on land is so easy. Too easy. That's why we want to see the sea. And no one knows what's beyond it. We intend to find out."

Felicia simply stared at Tarsen, begining to see the cat he had become, not the kit he used to be, she opened her mouth, then closed it, thinking.
Tarsen nodded. "The sea is unknown to us. Anything could happen. Yes, we could die. But we might live, and see things that some would kill to see."

Tizzy's heart swelled in hope. Tarsen was good at convincing cats to see his point of view and understand what he was saying. She hoped Felicia would be fine with it, and her tail flicked back and fourth in anxiousness, her eyes darting from Tarsen to Felicia, and then back to Tarsen again. "We just want to do all we can in our lives. Have as many adventures as possible," she added hopefully.
Dustwter had been listening in, and knew this was a perfect opprotunity. Padding over to Shadow, she whispered in her friend's ear. "Swallow! That's it! If you want them to help before leaving you, convince them that it's another opprotunity. They're obviously not gonna drop the ocean thing--mousebrains--but get them to think it's an adventure, a difference they'll be making!" Dustwater didn't miss an opprotunity when she saw one. She felt a sudden jolt of discomfort in her belly. It had been swelling recently, and she shifted uncomfortably where she was standing, trying to stop the pain in her stomach and wondering what it could be. Could it be...? No. She pushed that thought out of her mind. Ridiculous, she thought, shaking her head.

Felicia nodded slowly. "If... if that's what you want to do." She said finally, glancing from Tarsen to Tizzy. "Will you... come back?" The she-cat shifted slightly, staring down at her silvery paws. Her brother reminded her of an eel, she got a grip and then he slipped away again.

[[ooc;; whoops, sorry! Shadow, Swallow, similar letters. I've changed it to Swallow.]]
This comment worried Tizzy. How to answer? It was certainly hard to say if the two would ever be coming back. But she decided to keep her mouth shut on this one. This was going to be Tarsen's answer. She didn't want to mess anything up, she really didn't. And she knew that either way, Tarsen would probably have a better answer to this question than her, so she closed her mouth tight to remind herself not to say anything, especially something that would mess up what Tarsen had in mind for his relationship with is long-lost sister.
