Plot/Intro:
NOTE: There really is no good way to shorten this, so bear with us. It's long but a good story. Enjoy. ^^
It was dark, nightfall to be utterly truthful. The sun had just shone it's last few rays of hope upon the lands of the wolves moments before the last few birds dove into their nests. Alone in a small meadow lay a group of pups along with an elder wolf. The sat around, facing each other. A little shy wolf pup named Kiba with a brilliant white coat, yelled from the back, speaking to the elder, "Sss...sir, will you tell the story of how the three packs came to be?"
The group rose their voices into a single crying yes. The elder, overwhelmed by the pups eagerness to know their own histories, chuckled, his voice raspy with his age. Coughing and clearing his throat, he said, "Settle down now, settle down. Karo don't make me send you to your mother!" And with such words the little one immediately stopped biting and bullying the others and soon they all settled down into a little crowd of eyes and ears, wide open and waiting for their favorite story.
And so, with an attentive audience he began,
Long ago, there was peace among the three wolf packs. They were, at once, one large pack. Everyone knew each other and everyone got along. And yet... such peace and happiness could never truely last. Humans came into their lives, destroying whatever they could find. Destroying the trees, dens, grasses, and worst of all... the wolves' food.
He told them, with his voice ever quiet, forcing them into complete silence, of Hrimhari the Kind. Of how her fur was as white as the untainted morning snow. Of how her eyes of perfect blue glittered and shown with the brilliance of a thousand stars. He told them of her small body, of her dainty self. Told them how in her wake flowers bloomed no matter weather or time, how she glowed with such a radiance that she held a golden aura. He told them... of Hrimhari the Sweet and how she brought forth to the world kindness and love. How she filled it with goodness and peace and tranquility.
Next he spoke of The Tainted Fenrir. Of how she suffered and how she felt the pain of the world, the burdens. How she carried the strife that ran opposite of her sister... How she brought to the world desire and passion and seductive beauty as death marked her steps. Her eyes an unrelenting torrent of green, her body an unblemished black. Her body lean and well muscled, the body of one use to work.
After speaking of The Sister there was only one left to tell them. The soul brother of the duo, the master Nerah. He told them of his grey, grey fur. Of his gentle brown eyes that told of his woe and his worry. Told of how in his steps enlightenment fallowed as he brought order and wisdom among his people and his sisters, for his leadership was evident.
He told them how they looked about the earth and saw beauty destroyed. How they saw everything touched turned to ash and they could not help but wonder if all the world was like this. And so their search began… and so their search continued… and when asked why they walked for endless eternity, they spoke, ‘We search for the untouched Paradise‘. And yet the three went about their search differently...
Hrimhari believed that Paradise would show itself to those who where good. Those who did good things would have good things happened to them and so she went about the world helping the ill and the pained. Raising them from strife's grip she set them at fortune’s table. And while she went about her good deed Fenrir, habiting to do the opposite, believed that strength was absolute. That if one wished to gain entrance to Paradise one must be strong and one must be worthy. And so she ventured the world in search of strength. Cutting down whoever hindered her progress. Nerah, the man of three, however, practiced a different route in search. He believed that Paradise would ultimately come no matter what... one must but looked to find and so he simply walked days on end, his eyes open and his ears ever ready to hear the calls of Paradise.
And so Hrimhari walked the High Path in search of Paradise.
And so Fenrir walked the Low Way in search of Paradise.
And so Nerah walked the Middle Road in search of Paradise.
And so the three ultimately found it. One day they laid their heads to rest and one day when morning called they found everything they knew gone and replaced… They found themselves in a place of perfection and peace, adored with everything that fueled their desires they found… a place untouched, lacking corruption of the world they treaded through they smiled and celebrated. For they found the place of myth, you see, they found Paradise.
They stayed there many days but soon argument awoke. Which way… had been the way to find Paradise, the wondered. Who was right and who was wrong? Surely they could not all be correct in their assumptions. The arguments escalated until the faithful day that blows where stuck. That words no longer where just words as they fought and the wolf’s blood soaked into the ground of Paradise… and the three where cast out, exiled… and yet…
They where commended for being the firsts. Commended as the First to arrive to Paradise, but Paradise was cruel in some respect. Those who could not lay their head in Paradise and remain peaceful would no longer be, that was the way of things and none of the three wolves, mortal in every right, could not challenge this. And yet… though they cease to be they did not cease to exist with the mercy of Paradise ever present. Their bloodlines where laid, their blood was kept in the generations… Their names in the callings of the Three Packs… Their teaching in the way the Three Packs lived. Though they no longer live… They do not cease to exist.
And yet time has passed and though the Three Packs still live… and though they still practice the ways of their founders. They seem to have forgotten Paradise… truly does exist. It seems Paradise is nothing but a fairytale now and it seems that Paradise is just… Yet, stories have arisen. Stories that say that the first wolf of the three packs that lays a paw on Paradise will find that Paradise will morph to be the Paradise the founder envisioned…
Much mystery and lore has surrounded the Paradise the founders knew... to the point that one is uncertain of what is true and what is not. So one is left to wonder... what path to fallow. Which path will lead them to Eternity in a place that is said to be the place of Ultimate Perfection... Left also to wonder, if they will ever know the secrets of Paradise.
