Tizzy could have burst with excitement. She leaped into the boat, feeling it shake a bit beneath her paws. The feeling was foreign to her, but she shifted her weight and kept from falling over. Purring in delight, she raced to the far end of the boat, gazing out with her big, black eyes at the sea for a moment. This was where they'd be--probably for the rest of their lives! Giving a small mrrow of excitement, she raced to the other end of the boat, the side facing the land. "C'mon, Tarsen!" she called excitedly to her mate, "Let's go!"

Tarsen raced to the front of the boat with her, heaving his paws onto the sides as the salty water lashed in droplets at his face, but somehow, they felt natural. He yowled, the sound echoing over the water and land, though his yowl was not of fear, but of anticipaton and joy. The boat began to bob away from shore, movements becoming steadily more rapid.

Tizzy purred, and feeling an overwhelming burst of happiness and serenity come over her, curled up beside Tarsen to watch the shore drift away. This was it. They had talked about it, and this was finally it. She had the sensation that this was where she was meant to be. This was the way things were supposed to go, supposed to work, and she gazed up at Tarsen with big, wide eyes. Tail twitching slightly in excitement. "It's finally happening," she mewed, gazing at the shore which grew steadily farther and farther away. What would their life be like here? Where would they end up? How would things turn out for them? If she died at sea, she didn't care, she realized. Tarsen was with her, and they were going on an adventure. She couldn't wait to see what would happen.

"It is," Tarsen meowed, in that moment, he felt almost eternal in that vast space of water that speckled his face with salty liquid. "So," He began, a purr entering his voice, "I suppose I'll need fishing lessons." The tom's amber eyes sparkled joyfully as the wing whipped at his smooth tortoiseshell fur.

Tizzy purred in amusement at Tarsen's joke, and her ears twitched as she gazed at him through narrowed eyes. "So will I!" she mewed. It would be an adventure. An experience! This was what she wanted, really wanted, and she was so glad it was happening. "Tarsen, I'm so glad I met you," she mewed, "If I hadn't, I probably would have just gone back to SandClan and kept spying on them all my life. Living for something that would never--could never--happen," she was being honest now. Glancing at the horizon, she noticed that the shore could no longer be seen. They had drifted far out into the ocean, and it was dizzying to look around and see nothing but seemingly endless ocean. An icy wind blew, sending a spray of salty ocean at Tizzy. Shivering slightly, she gave an amused mrrow as the icy droplets flicked her long, slender face.

Tarsen purred, amber eyes studying Tizzy, touched by the she-cat in all ways. "Likewise," He agreed. "I could have never carried out a dream wihou you." He batted a tortoiseshell paw into the water as a multitute of silver fish darted past, he missd, and ripples spilled over the surface as the boat parted the liquid.

Suddenly intrigued by the idea of fishing, Tizzy poked her long, narrow head over the edge of the boat, watching as yet another school of fish shimmied past. Quickly, she extended her paw into the water, resulting in a clumsy plunk and the sudden scattering of fish.
Moving away from the edge of the boat, she shivered a bit. The water had been unbearably cold, and the simple dunk of her paw into its green, shallow form had sent chills spiraling through her body.
"Fishing seems impossible!" she mewed, bemused, "I hope we can learn how, or we'll have a problem. Tarsen, have you ever fished before?" She hoped he had a general idea of how to do it. Wasn't there a PineClan apprentice she had heard of who could fish? He certainly would be handy to have around at the moment. But they were at sea, and he was on land, and even if they were nearer each-other she didn't know him, and he didn't know her, and she assumed it would not be his pleasure to teach a couple of loners how to fish, so either way they'd have to depend on the resources and knowledge that they had.
Reminding herself that they were here and they could survive sent a pulse of excitement through her body, and Tizzy slipped back to the edge of the boat, watching again for fish, and hoping the two cats would be lucky enough for another school to swim by. She did not particularly wish to go for a swim at the moment.

Tarsen shook his head, "Never," The tortoiseshell meowed, "But I'm sure we'll learn." With that, he stood, poised over the water, suddenly, his paw darted out, bringing up a small and scrawny, yet very much fish-like salmon. He grinned, with a purr, "They'll probably be thicker around us deeper in..." He pondered, inclining that he and Tizzy should share the fish.

Tizzy gave a mrrow of delight as her mate hooked his claws in the pink scales of a salmon, dragging it out of the water and plopping it onto the boat.
"Wow!" she mewed in awe. For a first-timer, he was certainly good! "You'll have to teach me how to do that!" The fish was flipping about on the boat, and she flicked her ears, amused, while she pressed down on it with her paw. Its form was thin and cold, slimy and sleek and she gave a startled mew. She's have to get used to this!
Tentativley, she shot an unsheathed paw out, and dragged her claws lightly across it, watching as its blood bulged out of the cracks in its body. She waited for it to stop flipping about, and gave Tarsen a grateful glance at the invitation to share it.
Bending over, she took a small bite of the fish, her sharp white jaws penetrating its slimy form. It tasted like the ocean, and she sat for a moment, chewing slowly, trying to understand the taste.
"It's odd..." she mewed finally, dragging a long, pink tongue across her bloodstained muzzle, "but I like it!"

Tarsen gave a rumbling purr and leaned down, taking a small chunk of fishing and chewing slowly. "It's..." He spoke almost without thinking, "Fishy!" The tortoiseshell swiped his tounge around his muzzle and gave a joyful mrrow. "I think the trick to it," He pondered, "Is waiting and striking quickly."

Tizzy nodded at Tarsen's words. This was probably true. She'd have to work on both, she realized. It wouldn't be easy living on this boat--then again, no cat ever said it would be.
Finishing off her share of the fish, she poked her head over the edge again, and watched as a school of fish rippled past, mezmirized by their shimmering scales. She let them go past, undesturbed.
Suddenly, she caught sight of another small form, wriggling along in the water. Squinting, Tizzy could see it was a fish of the school that had just gone by, but smaller and crippled--one of its fins were gone. Deciding that it would make good hunting practice, she leaned over the side of the boat. When finally, she found it in a suitable position, she lashed out.
Her golden paw broke the surface of the water and her clear claws unsheathed. The salty ocean was shockingly cold, but Tizzy pushed on through the water until she felt her claws sink into the flank of the fish, and it began to wriggle in her grip.
Yanking her claw out of the water, she tossed the fish on the deck, killing it with a swift swipe of the paw. "I did it!" she excalimed, tail lashing in the excitement of the moment. Her first catch! Maybe she could have passed as a SandClan cat after all!
Catching herself on that thought, Tizzy pushed it away, No. She didn't need or want SandClan, she reminded herself. She had Tarsen and the boat.
Turning her gaze back to the fish, Tizzy grimaced. It looked mangled and diseased. No wonder it had been so easy to catch!
"I think it'd be best to throw this one back," she mewed in distaste, hooking a claw around it for fear of putting it in her mouth. If her and Tarsen got sick on this boat, it'd be hard to find a remedy!
Tossing the fishe overboard, she watched it with a churning belly as it sank, making what was sure to be a long decent to the bottom of the ocean.

"It was a good catch, though," Tarsen purred, as the fish ebbed to the bottom of the sea. "I mean, it looked... profesional." Hmmm... I don't usually use that do I? Good word... professional... Tarsen grinned, he wasn't quite sure how he could think of anything other than the boat at the moment, though.

Twining her tail with his, she sat close to him, simply enjoying his presence as the last shards of light dwindled away on the horizon. The sun had nearly sunk in the sea, the reflection of its red-yellow pelt splashing across the ocean for the last moments that sun.
She thought she felt her stomach clench a bit. It was probably just being on the boat though. It did tend to make a cat's stomach uneasy. Sighing, she turned her gaze from the nearly gone sun to the now emerging moon in the hazy pruple sky. << - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -♫

Tarsen sighed happily, breathing in the fresh sea air that wafted about him as he watched the moon rise like a bird, watching over the earthn as the sun spread it's burning wings and left. Leaving a violet sky, skudding with clouds, and, in the midst of it, two cats in a boat, silhoutted against the few stray wisps of light like liquid starshine.
The tom glanced up at the stars, every twinkling ember a jewel embedded in a cloak of darkness as it swished and swayed, slowly slivering across the heavens until day came, to spread it's rich warmth, at least, richer than the cool night.
Tarsen yawned, however much he would have preferred to stay up on the prow of the boat with Tizzy, he felt sleep drift over him, waiting, watching until drowsiness got the better of him.

Closing them, she sighed, curling against Tarsen, and feeling the icy ocean wind as it ruffled her golden and black fur. The rocking of the boat was so calm, and the wind so mild that sleep overtook her very soon, and her breathing was steadily.
As she fell asleep, she thought she felt another twitch in her stomach. Sure it had to do with her dream about catching a mouse--something she probably wouldn't do for a long, long time, she dismissed it, and fell fast asleep.
