Heavyheart hissed in anger and leaped forwards. "Didn't you see my signal?" he hissed to Garnetstorm, his eyes flashing dangerously. He skidded to a stop as he was nearly nose to nose with Stormcloud. "Get out of our territory," he meowed firmly, locking gazes with the other warrior. He wasn't usually the fighting type, although his hackles were certainly raised this time. But he was more annoyed at Garnetstorm, who had just plundered in and thought he could push JaggedClan around. And Heavyheart knew they were a strong Clan. He could see the members of the patrol were some of their best warriors. But he was glad he had Thornfire and Phoenixpaw by his side, as well as Garnetstorm, even though he was a bit more enthusiastic. He couldn't think of any cats he would rather have by his side.
Phoenixpaw drew in her breath sharply as Garnetstorm rushed forwards, shoving the JaggedClan warrior. She took a step forwards, and pricked her ears up, listening for any other cats approaching. If the cats outnumbered the SnowClan patrol, they might have to retreat. But to her relief, no more cats came out of the landscape. She suddenly wondered what would happen if she was killed. Heavyheart and Thornfire would probably take her body back to SnowClan, where she would be buried. Her heart leaped as she realised she would be with Hawkflight again. But then she thought of how SnowClan would miss her. Raindance would get another apprentice. Her belly lurched as she realised she couldn't bear being any other cat's apprentice. She suddenly wished the wise deputy was there now.

Stormcloud hissed as he was shoved and made a leap for the other warrior, only restraining himself at the last possible moment with firm discipline. They hadn't come here for a fight. They hadn't come here for a fight. They hadn't come here...oh, but if that mouse-brained SnowClan tom lay one claw on him they would have a fight whether they had come for one or not. "This is our territory too, Heavyheart, and don't you forget it!" He hissed, baring his pearl-white fangs menacingly. Stormcloud was all riled up from the incident with the cliff earlier today and the adreneline hadn't quite pumped it's way out of his veins yet. His hackles rose as he glared right back into the grey tom's eyes, sending him a silent challenge. For a moment, the golden-brown tom wished he'd thought to bring an apprentice too, so they could have run for help, but it was too late for that. Perhaps if they were lucky some JaggedClan cat would be out hunting.

Riverstone blinked as he walked up to Stormcloud and Xyriscalyx. He closed his eyes and than he opened them, shaking his head he sighed as he sat down on the snow-covered ground. He was about to say something, but he held it back. His tail twitched as he looked over at the group of SnowClan cats. He stood up and padded closer to Heavyheart. He opened his mouth and gave him a glare, "This territory is both clans." his voice was low and rumbling. He stepped between Heavyheart and Stormcloud. His paws flexed, as they sunk in the deep snow, his claws were hidden and unsheathed. He didn't feel like fighting, yet we would, and he could leave nasty wounds. His tail lashed behind him, his eyes were dark. The fur on his back was bristling. His lips curled, showing sharp, pale white teeth, he was ready for a fight.

Garnetstorm was no longer listening to Heavyheart, and, as Riverstone padded forward, he snarled, ambery-gold eyes filled with battle-craving. His hackle rose as he snarled wordlessly, animalistic as his fur bristled angrily. He set his sights on Riverstone's paws, crouching, hoping to surprise him, since the warrior probably wouldn't expect him to attack anything but his paws, if he expected Garnetstorm to attack at all. He leapt, but not at his target's paws, at his shoulders, claws unsheathed and gleaming. The JaggedClan warrior would have only half a second or so to avoid him as Garnetstorm's claws prepared to bury themselves in the warrior's shoulder.

Riverstone was looking back at Stormcloud, his head turned and he looked over at the Snowclan cats, only to see one of the warriors, Garnetstorm, leaping towards him. As the warrior neared he stood on his back front legs, for a few seconds and lashed his claws across Garnetstorms face. He winced as Garnetstorm's claws grazed his shoulders.Riverstone gazed at the warrior, he snarled slightly and gave his ears a twitch. He wanted to rip the warrior open, but he soon became calm. He lowered his shoulders and sheathed his claws. His neck fur was still bristling though. "How dare you! Don't you listen to your senior warriors?" He glared looking back at Heavyheart. His looked at his shoulder, it was trickling blood.

Stormcloud let out a ferocious hiss and crouched down, tense and ready to strike. "How dare you attack us on our territory?!?" He spat, eyes not on Garnetstorm but Heavyheart, "Fine discipline SnowClan has if they can't even control their cats!" Both his tone and his eyes were goading the tom to attack, and he made no attempts to hide it. Stormcloud was pretty highly-strung after all the 'excitement' today and he was just itching to claw some cat's fur off - he didn't particularly mind whose.

[[No worries, for me, powerplay is only up to serious injuries my charrie has no chance in the world of avoiding. ^^]] Garnetstorm hissed, the words tempted him to attack monce more, and he gave in so quickly that it wasn't even giving in. The tom's golden-amber eyes blazed and he attacked, claws unsheathed and already drizzled with crimson. He snarled in pain as small beads of blood trickled across his fur, then threw his whole body weight at Riverstone, crashing into him and ignoring whatever gravity was doing, simply lashing out with claws and grazing them across Riverstone's forepaws. _-+-_ -_+_- Thornfire growled angrily at Garnetstorm, though making no move to estrain him, "Stop it you crazy mouse brain!" He snarled, tail thrashing in livid ferocity at the furbrain some called a warrior.

Riverstone watched as Garnetstorm jumped at him. He backed away slowly, but was too late. The Snowclan cat had landed on Riverstone. Curling his lip and letting out a hiss of pain, he ruled onto his back, clawing at Garnetstorm's belly. His dark eyes were glaring. His shoulder was bleeding deeply, the crimson liquid was staining the white snow.
He wriggled, making patterns in the snow, this cat was the craziest cat he had ever met.

[[ooc;; sorry for the late reply >__o School's a killer right now...]]
Xyriscalyx snarled as Garnestorm threw himself at Riverstone, who returned the blow--though not without injury. Blood was trickling down his clanmate's shoulders, and Xyriscalyx instantly unsheathed his claws, tail lashing in rage as his smoky fur stood on end. Yellow eyes ablaze, his mouth dancing with a smug expression, he poked fun at Heavyheart.
"Your clan doesn't seem to have much control over their emotions," he growled, ears twitching.
He did not expect Garnestorm to attack again, though. Giving a ferocious hiss as the SnowClan cat flung himself once again at Riverstone, Xyriscalyx yowled. "Back off!" he yowled, "We're not looking for a fight, but if you are, we're perfectly capable of attack! If you're wise, you'll leave now so we can finish our border patrol in peace!"
Honestly, after the night's rather eventful happenings, he was not in the mood for a battle--especially with SnowClan. Even if the JaggedClan patrol was made up of cats with more experience, the SnowClan patrol was bigger, and numbers always helped--they could send for more cats or get help! JaggedClan would have the whole patrol busy just fighting off the SnowClan cats.

Heavyheart glared at Garnetstorm, but truthfully, all his anger was directed at the JaggedClan cats. His mind was wiped of all emotions as he bounded across the snow and slammed into Stormcloud, yowling a battle cry. He was stung by their comments, and that was more reason to hurt them. He raked his claws down the JaggedClan tom's shoulder, backing away. His eyes were alight with fire, anger burning through the flames and scorching into the other patrol. He hissed as he circled Stormcloud, trying to predict what else he would do.
Phoenixpaw's heart began to beat faster as she saw Heavyheart launch himself at the other warrior. She knew he was a good fighter, but the JaggedClan warrior was a good match. She circled the fights, wondering who to attack. She saw Xyriscalyx spitting at Heavyheart, and suddenly she felt a surge of energy, a surge of anger welling up inside her. She knew she had to let it loose. She streaked towards the JaggedClan cat, her ears flat on the back of her head, her lips drawn back in a snarl. She felt something lifting her paws up across the snow, and she went faster. She cannoned into Xyriscalyx, her claws outstretched. She clawed in every place she could reach, unaware of any attempts that Xyriscalyx made to defend himself. Her heart burned as she sliced down his muzzle. She suddenly felt Heavyheart's voice drawing her back into reality. She whirled round, racing to his side. He didn't take his eyes off Stormcloud, his face contorted in concentration. "Go back and get another patrol!" he hissed, circling round his opponent. Phoenixpaw skidded round, and sprinted back the way they had come, glancing back only once to Xyriscalyx. Then she felt the presence again, her paws flying across the snow. It puzzled her for a moment, but her mind was focused on getting back.

♫ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >> Xyriscalyx hissed as the small she-cat launched an unexpected attack on him, raking her claws across his flank. The ambush had shocked him so much he had a hard time getting his bearings as to where she was, he he hissed and flailed, trying to find her as stinging claws ripped across his muzzle, sending hot, sticky blood trickling slowly down his jaw.
"Stupid apprentice!" he hissed, aiming a blow at her smaller-than-his body, "How dare you attack a warrior?!"
He was cut off then by Heavyheart, who ordered the apprentice to return to camp. At least he seems to have some sense! Xyriscalyx thought bitterly. Swiping a tongue across his muzzle to try and contain the steady trickle of blood, the smoky tom flung himself at Heavyheart, who seemed determined to claw out both of Stormcloud's eyes.
"I said go in peace!" he hissed as he landed a blow on the SnowClan warrior, raking his claws against the enemy's flank and spitting angrily. "One last chance," he added menacingly, "This is an unnecessary battle! Previously undisputed land isn't worth the bloodshed!"
Why was this battle even being fought? Because of the bloodlust and fiery temper of some stupid SnowClan cat? A noble warrior like Heavyheart should know better than to let his clanmates go into battle like this! But now what could JaggedClan do? They were being attacked, they couldn't just step down and stop defending themselves, and he lashed his tail in anger. The whole situation was ridiculous!

Caught slightly off-guard from Heavyheart's attack (having expected it to come from Garnetstorm instead), Stormcloud could only roll out of the way of the offending claws as they ripped down his shoulder. He was up in a moment though - spitting furiously and had bunched his muscles to spring back at the fox-hearted grey warrior when Xriscalyx came crashing down on his back, beating him to the scratch. Stormcloud's face was drawn into the cat's equivalent of a frown as he narrowed his eyes, did his yellow-eyed denmate he couldn't take care of himself? The next moment a flash of fur caught his pale minty eyes. It was the apprentice, running for help! With a desperate snarl he threw himself across the snow towards her and, using the agility and speed of all JaggedClan-ers, overtook her quickly. In a heartbeat, he swung around in front of her, crouching down and hissing as he swatted at her with a heavy sheathed paw. "I'm sorry but I can't let you do that." He hissed, baring his teeth at her but inwardly hating that he had to threaten an apprentice. Still, if she was to get help then StarClan only knew how their patrol would make it out of this one.
((If his speed seemed too much then I can change it, Soul.))

ooc// Lol, no thats fine. ^^
Heavyheart snarled as the JaggedClan warrior threw himself at him, and had no time to swerve out of the way. He tried to leap out the way of his claws, but they scored down his flank. He hissed, and spat, "You call this peace?" he then took a glance to where Phoenixpaw had run off to, and was shocked to see Stormcloud running off in the same direction. He turned back to the battle, focusing and locking his piercing gaze onto the other warrior's.
He then leaped forwards, ducking underneath Xyriscalyx and turning over onto his back. He pushed with all his four paws upwards, claws unsheathed.
Phoenixpaw spun round in the snow as the paw came towards her, but she ducked and kept on running. She didn't reply to Stormcloud, and focused on getting back to the Clan. She was nervous that a warrior was running after her, but she felt as though she had someone by her side.
She suddenly realised that they would definitely have something to report on the next Gathering. That is, if she survived.

Garnetstorm yowled in pain and anger as Riverstone flipped round and began clawing at his unprotected, vunerable belly. He wriggled away, spitting as the other cat's claws raked themselves across his flesh. Pulling himself away, Garnetstorm snarled a challenge, breathing heavy and eyes pained. But adrenalin oushed him to the very edge of his limits and he crouched, then proppelled himself at Riverstone's back, raking his claws across his back, long strokes, but not life-threateningly deep.

Thornfire looked up, relieved when Heavyheart ordered Phoenixpaw to camp, but snarled when Stormcloud caught up with her. Racing forwards, he noticed that the he was only a few fox-lengths away from SnowClan territory. He leapt from the ground, muscles screaming in protest at the strength in the warrior's jump. His claws slid out, thin and small, but sharp as daggers, heading for the tip of Stormcloud's tail, that was the only place he could actually reach, anyway...

With a hiss, Stormcloud launched himself after her and gave a mighty leap to barrell into her side, hoping to wind her so he wouldn't actually have to hurt her too much. He would feel terrible if he hurt an apprentice, they had so much ahead of them. Which was why he kept his claws sheathed.
((sorry it's so short, do you actually need Pheonixpaw to go back and get help? I'll have to let her go then. ^^ Ghoststorm could hear them, if you wants.))
