((ooc: Can we tell other cats about Star Clan dreams in the plots?)) Mosspaw forced a shaken smile and rose, forcing himself to stand tall, so that he looked less vunerable. "I'm fine, it was just a dream, probably the sound of snow triggered it, Raindance." (If he can tell cats about it, then, the post under this is real, if not, then forget the post underneath this.) Mosspaw paused, then glanced at Raindance once more. Hesitating for a second he said, "But I'll tell you."

Ghoststorm had followed the other cats back to camp silently, saying nothing about their unfortunate encounter with Birchleaf that had left them all even more weary and exhausted than they needed to be. He padded into camp after Raindance and sat at the mouth of the cave, watching the snowflakes fall with an unreadable yellow gaze. A sudden cry from the apprentice's den brought him out of his thoughts and he swiftly trotted over to see what was wrong.
Mosspaw waswrithing on the floor, looking agonised. Then, suddenly, he stopped and mutttered some strange phrase. Bold and striking....bold and striking. Ghoststorm did not know what it meant but he didn't like the sound of it. "Yes, Moonstar might know what it means. Or the medicine cat." He agreed with Raindance who stood beside him, looking extremely troubled. "Perhaps you should both see the medicine cat..." He meowed carefully, noting the two cats' obvious distress. Ghoststorm hated seeing his Clan so tired and weary, sometimes it seemed like the peaceful green-leafs they had had before were never coming back.

[[ooc;;sure, that's fine :3]]
Raindance's eyes widened, and she leaned in closer to Mosspaw, "Alright, tell me about the dream," she mewed, concerned. This was something big, she just knew it. Glancing over at Ghoststorm, she tried to read the tom's eyes. Worried, weary, troubled. That's the way the whole clan was now. Maybe StarClan was trying to warn them about something--but what? Did this dream have something to do with that? Turning back to the apprentice before her, she waited, ears pricked, eager to hear what the apprentice had to say about his mysterious, and apparently, terrible dream.

Mosspaw took a deep breath. "A prothesy from StarClan." He started. "Bold and striking Arriving from beyond the sand Bringing with it death A new permanent threat Look for it in the water. I think the line, 'Arriving from beyond the sand.' May have something to do with SandClan." Mosspaw said quietly.

Moonstar's eyes narrowed. What was that all about? she thought, looking worridly at Mosspaw. She wondered if her apprentice could cope with being a messager of StarClan. And then, there was the fact of the prophecy. What did that mean? Did it mean something dangerous was going to come in over the tossing water? Nevertheless, it may be dangerous to SnowClan.

Making a split second desision, Moonstar turned away from Mosspaw, and bounded upon the highrock. Emmiting a commanding yowl for the Clan to be gathered, she glanced outside. Starting as she saw the drips coming off the cave entrance, she realised it was raining. Peering closer, she observed the rain dancing on the snow outside. Suddenly, it hit her. Rain... Dance. Her face was immediatly rid of any worry that had shown, and she knew that it was a sign from StarClan. Turning jubiliantly towards her gathered Clan, and yowled to her Clan, "StarClan has spoken! I say these words in the presense of StarClan so they may hear and approve of my choice." he voice rang out clearly into the deppest depths of the cave, and echoing off the walls. "The new deputy of SnowClan shall be.... Raindance!"

(MEDCAT DEN) she looked around at the poorly stocked den. "Well, while im here, its gonna need some work." She began to fix it up instantly, then she suddenly had this horrid pain jut through her leg up her spine, and into her brain. She screeched, She splinted up her leg and began to sort through all the mixtures of beerries and such. Many of what she found was preserved still from the cold winter. She found a small cranny that was stuffed to the brim with leaves... how did the cat get theses? She fixed up the old large bundled nest and lay down and found that it was really quite warm!

[[ooc;; Birchleaf, I said I've reserved the application space for you, but you'll still need to see what Moonstar (Shadow) has to say about it.]]
Raindance was about to mew a response to Mosspaw when she heard Moonstar's clear yowl ring out, bouncing off the cold, stone walls of the cave, and padded over to the leader, green eyes wide with shock, staring up at the black cat. She didn't know what to say, and could find no response to the surprising message from her leader, so instead, she stood, gazing at the cat before her, waiting to see what happened next.

Moostar smiled. She had made the right desision, she knew it. "Well, Raindance? Doy you have anything to say?" she purred, waving her tail.

Ghoststorm had joined the Clan meeting with the other cats but was stunned when the meeting rapidly turned into a deputy ceremony. Raindance was deputy of SnowClan. Raindance was deputy of SnowClan. The sudden turn of events took a moment to sink in but soon Ghoststorm gave a loud pur, padding over to Raindance. "Congratulations, Raindance. There's no better cat for the job." He meowed warmly, genuinely happy for the she-cat.
Perhaps, deep inside he had been hoping to be chosen but the hope had not been strong. He was not completely Clanborn, after all, and hadn't had an apprentice yet. It was probably a good thing that he wasn't in a position of responsibility yet. Raindance, however, was a different story. She was a noble warrior and a great choice for deputy. It was good to have a deputy again and Ghoststorm felt his weariness begin to lessen - finally they would have something good to report at the gathering.

Raindance felt her face turn hot in embarrasment, "Yes...yes I...thank you," she stammered, shocked and thrilled. She purred at her leader's words. She was deputy. Deupty! Who would've guessed?! She couldn't wait to go to the gathering and be able to call herself a deputy, and she purred, turning to Ghoststorm, who had just congratulated her. "Oh, thank you Ghoststorm!" she mewed warmly back, tail twitching back and fourth in proud happiness. The clan finally had a deputy, and she was proud to be it, though the reality of what had just happened was only starting to settle in.

Moonstar purred at the meeting, then turned to her Clan again. "I will lead us to the Gathering. Raindance," she flicked her gaze towards her new deputy, "You join me at the front of the patrol." She felt glad SnowClan had something to report at the Gathering, after all, they were growing strong. Moonstar felt confident they could handle anything that was put forth infront of them. But then she stirred woriddly as she leaped off the highrock, remembering Mosspaw's dream.

Glancing once more at the proud new deputy of SnowClan, Ghoststorm quietly turned and padded over to Mosspaw, curious and slightly anxious about his dream. Facing the young tom, he meowed quietly, "What was the dream like? Did StarClan show you what they meant at all?"
