Gulping, Yewstorm decided not to wait until the end of the gathering. Padding up to the four leaders, the she-cat quietly recalled the important parts of her dreams, then turned to the rest of the cats, aware that she as being disrespectful. "I had a dream.." The warrior began, unsure, but quickly picked up her pace. "I was drowning, and I saw a large fish. Suddenly I was in the fish's jaws.." Yewstorm closed her eyes, trying to remember. "I saw a lot of cats, and they were all chanting this sort of prophecy.." Speaking very loudly now, Yewstorm found that the words came to her tongue automatically, unlike the rest of the dreams, which was blurred by her forgetfulness.
"Bold and striking Arriving from beyond the sand Bringing with it death A new permanent threat Look for it in the water"
Yewstorm breathed in, then out, very slowly, then turned to Wildstar. "I'm sorry for not telling you earlier..."
Ebonystar stared at the she-cat as she told them about the prophecy. So there was something going, even if it had nothing to do with the apprentice..

Wildstar was shocked to hear Yewstorm not only swallowing her pride, but also reavealing a dream, admitting that it might have some importance. She was also surprised that a dream that had caused an apprentice to run away had not even seemed to bother Yewstorm. Then again, Yewstorm was a strong cat. "That's all right, Yewstorm. Thank you for sharing your dream with us," Wildstar mewed warmly, before turning her gaze to the cats around her. "Have any other cats had such dreams?" she mewed loudly.
Needlegaze could not believe what he was hearing. These cats. The wise leaders of the clans, were actually taking dreams recieved by apprentices and common warriors seriously?! As if they contained prophecy! As if StarClan would trust average cats with above-average messages! He hissed in contempt at the prospect, glaring around, daring other cats to blurt out that they had the same dream. But it did seem odd--wasn't that just what Hummingsky claimed to have heard in her dream, as well? He must be remembering wrong...

Yewstorm blinked gratefully at her leader, then sat back down. She didn't really believe that her dream was a prophecy, just the closest she had ever come to a tangible dream. Maybe that was why it didn't bother her so much. Nothing bad was going on in the forest, to Yewstorm's knowledge, so why would there be a prophecy? It was just silly, really.
Sitting on beneath Wavestar, Penguinfur was thinking the same thing.
Ebonystar looked around the cats. It was strange that warriors and apprentices were receiving the honor of having a dream from StarClan, but not unheard of. But of course, Ebonystar would only start to deeply care if a cat from his clan had a dream like that, because it meant PineClan was in danger as well.

Adderpaw was about to poke Seapaw again, determined to make her react, when the Gathering suddenly took a strange turn. A turn leading into the realms of prophetic dreams. his attention was completely consumed by the leader's talk now, his aggravation over the SandClan apprentice beside him pushed to the back of his mind. When the grim-looking she-cat from JaggedClan spoke he let out an audiable gasp. "But that was what Hummingsky said too!" He called out, realising a little too late that he probably shouldn't have said anything. Did apprentices often speak out at Gatherings? Oh well, it was done now. Adderpaw looked carefully at the base of the tree, avoiding his leader's eyes for fear of the anger he thought would be there. That was what Mosspaw had reported as well. Were JaggedClan and SnowClan somehow linked in this prophecy? Then the ginger apprentice behind him spoke out about his Clan recieving the prophecy too. It sounded as though all Clans had gotten this foggy message but what could it mean? A sudden chill in the wind swept over him, bringing with it a sense of forbidding. Somehow, this did not bode well. Ghoststorm's eyes were trained on Moonstar, wondering if she would reveal that they too had heard the prophecy. Stormcloud wished Yewstorm had spoken earlier. As it was, the tom's eyes shot to the size of moons and his tail flicked with excitement in a most unwarrior-like fashion. He had never heard of StarClan sending dreams to ordinary cats and felt a flicker of jealousy that they had not sent a dream to him. He glanced at Wildstar, wondering what she was thinking. He had no idea what this might mean.

At this, Raindance realized she had to say something about the dream. The other clans had had it reported from a regular cat, and Mosspaw had stated the same thing in his dream. Standing tall, she faced the cats before her. "Mosspaw had just the same dream! It really shook him up, so it's no wonder Shadowpaw ran away," she reported. She hoped that Moonstar wouldn't be mad, but how could she, with all the clans having dreams like this? "I think StarClan is trying to tell us something. They were trying to tell us fast, quickly, to cats they knew would reveal the prophecy. Because this is big, I can feel it!" She did not know where the words came from, they just came, and she sat down, fur prickling in embarrasment at her little moment.

Ebonystar gave a small hiss of anger, one barely audible, and one he hoped didn't reach the ears of the other leaders. Then, he quietly and quickly recomposed himself, although his amber-yellow eyes shone with anger and seemed to stand out even more against his ebony fur. "So a cat from each clan has had this dream?" Ebonystar asked calmly, making a mental note to punish Adderpaw for his disrespect later.
Penguinfur watched his leader silently. Maybe there was some sort of problem, if a cat from each clan had the same dream. well, at least Starclan warned us.. The deputy thought.
Finally getting out of her denial, Yewstorm fought against the overwhelming urge to cry out. True, she was a strong cat, but she wasn't an optimistic cat, or one that hid his feelings. But now that it seemed there really was some danger, the she-cat felt like following Shadowpaw and running away with her tail between her legs.

Mosspaw glanced at the leaders. "What could it mean?" He wondered aloud. "The dream, I think it may have something to do with SandClan shores. He paused, recieving a slighly worried glance from Wavestar.

"Great. Now I've really done it." Adderpaw muttered to himself, completely forgetting that Seapaw was still sat beside him. Ebonystar's wrath was not something he made a habit of attracting but it seemed his big mouth had led him into it. Again. Ghoststorm nodded at Raindance's words in silent agreement. He could feel that it was big too, something deep inside him told him so. He could only do his best to make sure he would help protect SnowClan from whatever the danger that lay ahead was.

Seapaw purred in dull amusement. "Yes, you have," she agreed, "and I'm glad you've come up with enough courage to admit that to yourself, and to evereyone else" she added. She knew he probably just let it slip, that seemed to be something he did frequently, but nevertheless, he was admitting he had done wrong, and that was something.
Wildstar looked around, "So we all agree this is big...and it is. But perhaps we should continue this discussion after the rest of us have reported our clan's news...Moonstar, I'm sure other things have happened in your clan besides Mosspaw's dream?" she mewed, glancing down at Raindance, who was sitting below her leader, worry lacing her face.
Raindance realized that her leader was about to give a report of the clan, and straightened up, listening attentivley for more news, though there was now the feeling of general unease and curiosity heavy in the air after the reports of a strange dream delivered to one average cat of each clan.

Adderpaw looked sharply at Seapaw, going over her words again for some kind of masked insult. Finding none, he gave a small shrug and told himself that even he was allowed one mistake, just so long as he didn't make any more. The ginger apprentice wondered briefly if he should think of some nasty retort but decided against it, prefering just to meow in an undertone, "Don't you ever make mistakes?"

This question left Seapaw baffled. "No, I'm perfect," she mewed dryly, before bursting out quietly, "Of course I make mistakes you stupid furball! We all do, including you, and Ebonystar, and Wavestar and...and all the other leaders. Even StarClan makes mistakes! There's no denyig it!" She was surprised he would ask such a question, but found this interesting about him. He thought so higly of himself, yet only saw his own flaws? How did that work? Anyways, she found him slightly intriguing, and even wished that she could get to know him better.

For a moment Adderpaw's eyes narrowed before he realised she was being sarcastic. He nodded hesitantly when she said that the leaders made mistakes, unsure if it was being disloyal to agree the Ebonystar wasn't perfect. Her next statement, however, made his twitch his ears in surprise. "StarClan don't make mistakes." He meowed in amusement, "They're immortal." He had to supress a laugh, as if StarClan could ever be wrong! They could see the future, for StaClan's sake, how could they ever get anything wrong? However, the idea had been planted now, by this apprentice, what if StarClan were wrong? They would leead the Icy Territories into destruction! "Or at least, they'd better not be mistaken." He growled, "As we're depending on them for help." His dark green gaze flickered over to Seapaw, interested in the way she thought. Her ideas were foriegn to him and he almost found himself wishing she was in PineClan, so they could talk more freely.

Seapaw nodded in agreement at the apprentice's statement. It would be awful if StarClan was wrong, and she was glad that he didn't totally disagree with her, rather, said that "they'd better not be wrong". Because it was true, but not impossible. It was a good way of putting it. "I hope not. If they are, we're making all this fuss for nothing!" she mewed in contempt, still feeling the air, heavy with worry and tension. It was impossible to ignore, now. Even she was worried about the ominous prophecy, the horrible dreams, and she was glad she hadn't recieved it, no matter how exciting it may be to recieve a propecy from StarClan. The cats who did didn't exactly seem thrilled about it.

"Which would be extremely annoying." He added grimly, "But somehow, I don't think they are wrong." Adderpaw, on the other paw, would have dearly loved to beone of the chosen cats, and couldn't understand why Ashpaw wasn't saying anything or why Shadowpaw had run off. If it had been him, he would have been proudly boasting to every cat he met that StarClan thought him important enough to trust with such a message.
