Before Demi or Audrey could react to Polaris' words, another she-cat came into view, a red colar round her neck that jingled slightly, the noise coming from a small silver object that Polaris couldn't quite fix his eyes on. He watched for a second as she addressed Demi and Audrey. "But, who are you?" Polaris studied the anger in her eyes for a moment, his own leafy green orbs narrowing at her flexing paws. "I," He said quietly, tail lashing slightly, "Am Polaris... kittypet." His expression was dangerously near to hostile, though more of a warning for peace at that moment, however, he hadn't any idea whether she would heed that meaning.

"Polaris, eh? My name is Misty." she mewed slowly, relaxing a bit. Her mist-blue gaze was still hardened on the tom. "What is a kittypet?" she mewed slowly, hostile anger still in her voice. She sheathed her claws and sat up to look taller. "Are you one of those clan cats?' she hissed ruffly.
Her gaze switched and she looked around her quickly. She didn't want to fight, especially when her boy was coming outside. He could really hurt the other cats to protect her. Her tail twitched once an she turned back to look over Polaris. "You must be a Clan cat or a no-home cat." she referred to loners or rouges.

Polaris relaxed slightly, his eyes no longer narrowed, though he was still wary of Misty. "A kittypet," He explained curtly, "Is a cat who lives with two legs." Incase she didn't know what they were either, he inclined his head towards one of their nests. At her other question his fur bristled uncomfortably, and an inkling of something close to grief entered his eyes. "I used to be a kittypet," He said the words in a sharper voice than he meant, and forced his tone to soften, "But I joined SandClan, it wasn't the life for me." He paused, thinking of the painful details, "So I'm a rouge, a no-home cat." His eyes narrowed angrily.

Misty gazed at the tom. She could see grief in his eyes, but felt no sympathy for him. She flicked her ear and stood on the fence, keeping her balance she walked closer to Polaris. "I wouldn't like living out there either, those cats are so stubborn I bet." she hissed angrily and looked back at the other side of the fence where you could see no more houses. Her tail wrapped around her paws and she looked over at her house, everyone has such a pretty home, but hers was all old and dirty. It was small and cramped full of stuff that wasn't needed.
She shook her head, shaking away her thoughts. Her collar turned around her neck once and her bell jingled again. The sharp wind ruffled her fur.

♫ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - >> Demi stood, blue eyes wide, darting between the two cats before her. Where had the cold response she was about to give Polaris gone? Thank goodness for the distraction! But, she wasn't about to show weakness, and instead, threw a glare at Misty. "Yes, I'm Demi, and I don't need anyone!" she spat, puffing her chest out and trying to match the she-cat's devil-could-care attitude. Ironically, she followed this statement with a curt, "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go force my housefolk into giving me some food!"
She then darted across the snow-covered lawn and up onto the back porch of the twoleg nest in which she lived. She then parted her little jaws and began to mew at a rather high frequency until the she-housefolk came to open the door, and Demi padded gratefully inside.
It was warm and bright in the nest, and she purred, giving her wet fur a brief shake followed by a long, long clean. Once her fur was dry and fluffed, and Demi had slurped all the warm milk from a saucer, she padded up to a cushioned window seat and poked her head under the curtain. It was cozy--enfolded in a cloth as a light snow drifted to the ground before her eyes--all viewed from the safety of a warm home as the little brown-and-white she-cat licked the remaining cream from her maw.
She could make out the shapes of Polaris, Audrey, and the supposed Misty in the distance. I've met a new cat today, Demi realized with satisfaction, giving a great yawn before sitting down, still enfolded in her curtain 'blanket'. As long as they didn't see her, her image would be fine--but really, in Demi's eyes, what cat would deliberately look in her window to check if she was there?

Misty turned her head as Demi finally spoke. She was one proud kitten. She opened her mouth, about to say something when Demi leaped off the fence. Misty shrugged and glanced back at Polaris.
A few moments later she looked back over to see if the kitten was still outside, nope. She glanced around to see if she was anywhere and saw her silhouette in the window. Flicking her tail in a sort of wave, she glanced away. She did feel kind of hungry, but she didn't want to go back to her house right now. Her tongue swiped over her maw and she glanced down at Audrey, nodding her head slowly.
Her boy was calling her name, just to make sure she was alright. She let out a soft mew and watched as he went back inside. At least she didn't meow as loud as that Demi did.

Polaris shrugged, smothing his bristling fur at Misty's words. His ears perked up at the sound of a two-leg voice, and his eyes narrowed instinctively as he crouched warily towards the ground. His stomach rumbled and he scented the air for prey, nothing, he would find a two-leg trash can later and find something. Shaking off his hunger, Polaris watched Misty as she gave a soft mew, and, supposing that the twoleg was Misty's owner, he relaxed, twolegs who owned cats didn't often hurt strays, more likely left a few spare scraps out for them.

A large tabby figure stalked through the bushes in his garden. He sat up and opened his jaws, scenting for prey. Instead, the scent of other cats hit the roof of his mouth.
"More cats," He muttered.
He thought he was the only cat who came out this late. But then again, he never checked. So instead of worrying, he jumped up onto his garden's fence and padded along it, his paws moving carfully as he slinked along. soon he saw the two cats he had scented. A tom and a she-cat.
He stalked over, trying to look as dignified as he could. But as he neared, he saw that the tom was larger than him and didn't smell like the other houcecats. This made him think twice about moving any futher along the fence. He sighed. He was going to have to face his fears someday.
As the tom approached the others, he started speaking. "Hi, guys. My name is Kifi, and you are?" He tried to sound as polite as possible. He didn't know who these cats were, and wanted to leave a god impression. The tom looked pretty aggressive, which made him even more nervous. As for the she-cat, Kifi couldn't tell.

Misty was about to jump off of the fence, feeling as if there was no more that was needed to be said. She spun around as she heard another cat coming. "What's with all these toms?!" she muttered and gazed at him. It was as if she was being surounded. She shook her fur and glared at him as he introduced himself.
"Names Misty." she mewed, a bit of aggrevation in her voice. "I didn't think that many cats came out this late." her gaze turned from Audrey, to Polaris, to Demi's nest, and back at Kifi. She stood up, her claws unsheathed. Her tail wrapped around her paws and she stood up defiantley.

Kifi was surprised at how aggressive the she-cat sounded. "Well, sorry. I was just trying to be polite." He looked at all the other cats surronding Misty. "'Bye then," He waved his tail at all the others, and shot a half glare-half confused look at Misty. He thought all she-cats were nice and caring.
"Pfft, I've got my sister, that's all I need." He turned and stalked off towards his garden, hoping he didn't look as scared as he was. When Kifi was well away from the other cats, he sprinted across the fence and jumped into his garden. He landed with a slight thud and padded over to the small stone step in front of the entrance to the nest. He scratched loudly at the door for a few moments before waiting for his twolegs to come and let him in.
Soon his twoleg, 30 year old woman, came and opened the door. Kifi let out a grateful purr and stepped inside. He bounded over the smooth tiles and over to a small, woll-lined nest. It was large, so both he and his sister could fit in it. Kifi slid into his spot, and soon fell asleep to the tock-tocking of the clock.

Misty turned to Kifi. A strange look plastered one her face. "You think all she-cats are nice and stupid?" she let out a hiss and glared. She wanted to leap onto him and ri[ him to shreads. "I don't need any toms in my life, I have my boy and that's all I need." She hissed once more and watched as the one named Kifi went back inside. She rolled her eyes and looked back at Polaris. She stuck her tail up and jumped off of the fence, landing into Demi's garden she jumped over her fance and landed in her own. Her paws crushed the white snow as she looked up at the door. The lights were out which meant her people were sleeping.
She turned her head to look at a bucket with a towel in it. "That'll do." she mewed softly and curled up on the blankets. Her eyes closed and her tail wrapped around her body. She kept her ears perked up so that she could make sure none of those cats came to bother her.

Polaris spun round in an istant, eyeing Kifi warily for a second, then, almost retorting, "Polaris." He watched as both left and he was left alone with the gently swirling snow. Shrugging, Polaris gazed around him, where to sleep, where to sleep... he wasn't sure. Figuring his most ofte-used choice, he decided to 'mooch' off a two-leg. Not quite sure if he was approaching another cats home or not, Polaris padded to the door of a twoleg nest and let out a loud, pained cauterwaul. It wasn't soon before a two-leg opened the door and stood headed towards him, picking him up with ease and entering her home again, setting Polaris down onto a rug, switching off a lamp and creakily making her way upstairs as Polaris sifted, closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Sylphie looked up as a loud scratching noise reached her ears. Soon the queen of the nest came thumping down the stairs and opened the door and her brother bounded. "Kifi! Did something happen?" She looked at her brother, concern burning in her eyes.
"N-no. Just some pretty nasty cats out there." Kifi replied as he settled into the nest. "Oh, alright." Sylphie rested her head on the fur-lined nest. "I'm going out." She got up and jumped onto the counter. Before continuing, she opened the window by hitting the latch and puching past it.
"Be careful, and don't hesitate to call if you need help!" Kifi called after her before falling asleep.
Sylphie smiled. She could always count on Kifi. Soon she was in her garden, sniffing around the twoleg garden. Everything was so sweet smelling, with a touch of bitter here and there.

Everything was warm around her. She looked around, blinking the sleep from her eyes. Somebody must have brought her inside. She had been sleeping on her boy's bed. Jumping down she shook her fur and gave it a few quick licks. "Anthony, open the door!" she mewed gazing up at her owner, her tail twitching.
She flicked her ears and let out a soft purr as he opened the screen door. She looked around at the other houses as she padded up to her fence. They all had nice big houses, but they didn't have a boy like she did. She glanced back at her house to see her boy, Anthony, putting a few pieces of chicken and meat in her food bowl, and a bit of milk in her water bowl. She ran back over and gulped the food down quickly, taking a few drinks of the milk.
She ran back over to the fence, jumping over it in one leap. She jumped over a few more fences, and found herself face-to-face with a she-cat. She looked just like the tom that had called himself 'Kifi'. "You, again!" she hissed, thinking it was him. She bit her tongue, it was this cat's territory anyways.
She looked the cat over from her distance and crept forward a bit more. Flicking her ears she sniffed the cat slowly. "Wait, you're not that 'Kifi', are you?"

Sylphie blinked once, twice. Then she screeched and took a few steps backwards. "W-who are you?" she thought back to her chat with Kifi. Nasty cats. "KIFI!!!" she yowled. Soon her brother was at her side, ready to defend Sylphie.
"Misty!" Kifi stared at her through narrowed eyes. "What are you doing to my sister?" Sylphie was crouched next to him, shivering and staring up at Misty. "What do you want with me?" She cried and lowered her head, burying her muzzle into the snow.
Suddenly a thought hit him. "Did...did you think she was me?" Kifi asked softly. "No, her name is Sylphie. We look the same, but have completely different personalities."
