Misty jumped back as the she-cat screeched, and her brother was at her side, instantly. She blinked, crouching down to look at the two cats. "I can see that." she retorted rolling her eyes at the sight of the cowering she-cat. "Wuss." she murmured and glared over at Kifi. Letting out a sigh she turned to Sylphie. "I didn't think that a cat like you would go cowering, hoping for some tom to defend you." she hissed slightly and rolled her eyes. Biting her tongue, she waited for what the cats would retort. Her tail lashed behind her and she looked the cats over one more time. "Just because you cats think you have a better life, doesn't mean that you shouldn't know how to fight!" she was going off topic, but she didn't realize that she rally did want to fight.

"Look Misty! I didn't ask to become a kittypet! I was forced. Sylphie, on the other paw, didn't exactly enjoy the life of a rouge!" Kifi hissed and took a step forward Misty.
"Stop, Kifi!" Sylphie's head shot up and she glared at him. "Misty, I have the right to trust Kifi. He is my brother, and if you don't like it, too bad!" She stood up from her crouching position and stood next to Kifi, her fur fluffed out. She let out a hiss and glared as hard as she could.
"Sylphie?" Kifi had never seen this side of his sister before. "What?!" She screeched and narrowed her eyes at him. "I'm just standing up for myself. You should be happy that I could do this!"

Misty nodded a grin plastered on her face. "Sylphie, why don't you come with me?" she flicked her tail in the direction of her house, and trust me, I'm not going to hurt you." she flicked her ears and looked around, where was that one tom, Polaris?
She padded closer and whispered in Sylphie's ear. "I'll teach you how to fight," her eyes turned cold as she looked over at Kifi, "and we can become good friends." she nodded once more. Would the she-cat want to go over to her house? The rinky dink trailer looking one? She shrugged away her thoughts and focused her gaze on Sylphie only. "This is your choice, not his." she didn't even bother to turn and looked at the tom.
"So what do ya say?" her head was tipped to the side.

Sylphie looked at Misty. A silly grin was planted on the other she-cat's face."S-sure." she looked at Kifi. "I'll be back. Don't worry." She flicked her tail and padded to Misty's side.
"If you hurt her, I'll have to rip you to shreds." Kifi stepped back and settled down under a catmint bush to wait. "Go on, I'll just be here, waiting for Sylphie."
"Come on, let's go." Short again!

"Rip me? To shreds? Hah!" she rolled her eyes and padded over to the fance, jumping over it she found herself in her own backyard. "Alright, you wanna learn some fighting moves or what?" her tail twitched behind her. First, she had to test her.
"Surprise!" she called and jumped on the she-cats back, her claws sheathed. She had made a promise that she wasn't going to hurt her. She balanced herself on her back, her paws sunk into the cats long fur.

Sylphie screeched and flipped onto her back. she flipped over and clumsily pinned Misty down. Unfortunately, it was very loose, so Misty would be able to get out easily. A triumphent purr rumbled in her throat, she looked down at Misty expectantly.
Sylphie's tailwas waving wildly, and it got caught in a thorn bush. "Ow!" She pulled her tail away and looked at it carefully, letting her gaurd down.

Misty slipped out of Sylphie's grasp and butted her with her head. Watching as she fell, she jumped onto her once more. "Number one rule, don't let your guard down." she mewed flicking her tail and jumping off of her. She ran over to behind the bush and clamped her jaws around a small squirrel. "Your first piece of real food." she mewed tossing the squirrel's dead body toward Sylphie.
"Don't be afraid to get dirty, just eat it." she mewed taking a bit out of it. Her muzzle was stained slightly with blood. Her tail flicked in happiness as the blood seeped down her throat as she swallowed. "You're a pretty good, but I will train you more, just don't let your brother know." she mewed softly, licking the blood off of her lips.

Sylphie landed with a soft thud as Misty shoved her. She watched Misty dart behind a tree and reappear with a squirrel in her jaws. It was thrown at her and it landed not to far before her paws. She just looked on as Misty took a bite out of the squirrel.
Sylphie looked at the squirrel with a half disgusted half horrified glance. Blood was oozing from the spot where Misty had bitten. She hesitantly took a step forward and leaned down. The scents of blood and squirrel mingled together. She took a bite and chewed thoughtfully. Her eyes brightened and she swallowed.
"It tastes so good!" Sylphie mumbled and took a larger bite. "Here, you have the rest. I've already had my fill of regular food. But can you teach me how to hunt?"

Misty smiled as she started to eat the squirrel, "Sure, I could teach you to hunt!" she opened her maw and took in the scents around her. There was the food on her porch, and than there was mouse!
"You just crouch, scent for your food, focus on it, and leap!" she mewed softly.
Her gaze was fixed on the mouse. She crept forward and jumped, her claws unsheathed. They dug into the mouse's skin and it let out a squeak. She threw it over to Sylphie. "Your turn now." she walked back over to her and sat down, her tail flicking. A sparrow was in plain sight.

Polaris shook his head as the stairs creaked, her hurled himself into the air, fur on end, immediatly alert, but relaxed as he saw a kitten gambling about with a twoleg, Trotting past them, he bound through a small catflap and jumped outside, the shadows dancing like leaves on his dull sandy pelt. He streshed and yawned in the pale, cold light that somehow managed to creep onto his fur as a breeze drifted past, making him shiver. He blinked contentedly at his surroundings, a bird chirping far above in a swaying tree, the scufflings of young twolegs in a few of the nests, and the general peacefulness of the moment. Of course, it wouldn't last, soon twolegs would be up and loud.

Sylphie nodded. She crouched. Crouching. Check. She lifted her head and opened her jaws slightly like she had seen some wild cats do when they hunted. Soon she smelled a familar scent. That of a sparrow. "I can smell a bird!" She whispered to Misty and her eyes caught the small bird.
Sylphie smiled. This would be easy. The bird's back was facing her, and the wind was blowing toward her. She crawled a few inches forward, slowly closing the gap between herself and the sparrow. Sylphie pounced, unsheathing her claws in mid-air. She landed on the bird, but hesitated killing it. For a moment she just stared down at the bird, debating weather or not to kill it. In that moment the bird was flapping it's wings wildly and sending out alarm calls.
Sylphie gulped and sunk her teeth into the birds stubby neck. She squeezed her eyes shut as the blood trickled into her mouth. Soon the blood was dripping onto her chin. She lifted her head, the bird's body hanging limply from her jaws. She turned and padded back to Misty, a mixture of triumph and betrayal gleaming in her eyes. She dropped the dead sparrow at Misty's feet.

Stonerib wanted to growl at the noise. It was alike a heavy blanket, the sounds from anywhere to everything. The scents too, cats, twolegs, wierd plants, and several other unidentifiable things. But, it was double-edged sword- it just made him more curious to explore. Trying, and successful, to keep his wide paws silent as he padded lazily around the Nests, each one like the other (what mousebrain thought that up?) he finally found the one he was looking for.
Lowering his plumed tail, he dashed in front of the fence where he could hear cats hunting, talking. Pressing a single ear against the wooden fence (which was an odd white color), he could make out the meows more clearing. One was instructing the other...paws stepping lightly, plants rustling...and small bird calling. One of the kittypets had caught something!
And then, the SnowClan tom was stuck. Jump to the top of the thin fence, to see what was happening, or...There! Pale amber eyes lighting up, he stepped towards the small hole in the fence, bent low, and peered through.
There were two she-cats, a grey tabby and a white-and-orange-tabby. The latter was carrying a sparrow in her jaws, and dropping it at the Tabby's feet. Huh, he had never had a good time catching birds...Perhaps the Tabby (he could only guess she was the teacher), or even the other Kittypet (who he was increasingly realizing was rather pretty) for tips. The thought sounded so mousebrained he almost laughed. More because it was an excuse to satisfy his curiosity, which included meeting these cats. Might as well be selfish when no one was around...
Backing away from the peep hole, and several tail-lengths from the fence, the Maine Coon tensed his legs. Then, after a single, long stride, he jumped on to the fence, enormous body barely able to balance on top of the thin wood.
"Uhm...hello?" It was more of a question then a statement.

Sylphie tensed as a chocolate-brown figure caught her eye. She slowly turned her head to look up at the fence. Another cat, this one smelling of the wild cats she often saw hunting in the territory on the other side of her fence. "Uhm...hello?" the tom mewed.
Sylphie giggled. The wild cat was balancing rather awkwardly on the fence. He seemed so uncertain of himself, talking to different cats. "Hi! I'm Sylphie, and this is Misty. What's your name?" She crouched down and jumped up onto the fence, right beside the chocolate tom. "Where do you come from, are you going to hurt me?"
Sylphie's eyes widened and she took a step back. She had once seen two groups of cats, each with a unique scent, quarrel over something called a border. They had then gotten into a pretty vicious battle. Her eyes wandered down to Misty. If the tom got too rough and she couldn't defend herself, she was sure Misty would come to her aid.

Stonerib was beginning to find his balance on the fence, so much so he was considering sitting down, when one of Kittypets began to giggle. Cocking his head, he wondered what he had done. Was it because he couldn't balance his bulk on the fence. He was surprised when the she-cat jumped onto the white wood as well, causing the fence to send out vibrations for a moment, not enough to unbalance him.
"Hi! I'm Sylphie, and this is Misty. What's your name?"
Sylphie and Misty... got it. He gave a nod, and was about to mew something to the cheerful Sylphie when she sent another group of questions at him.
"Where do you come from, are you going to hurt me?"
The Maine Coon couldn't help but blink in surprise at the last question. Hurt her? Why would he ever do that, and what was with her sudden mood change...The warrior shook his head, discarding the thoughts. Might as well answer her questions.
"Well, hello Sylphie, Misty. And I would be Stonerib." He paused here, waiting to see if anymore questions would be fired. No such thing. "For where I come from...I'm a SnowClan cat. Or, I'm one of the cats that lives up on the mountain," here he jerked his head at the mountain behind them. "And for me hurting you, nonsense."

Sylphie nodded, another fit of giggles exploding from her throat as he blinked and shook his head. "What's with all the funny faces? And your name is Stonerib. Your ribs are made of stone!?" A confused expression clouded her gaze. She reached out a paw and prodded Stonerib in the side to see if what she heard was true. "Ribs...made of stone? Nonsense, that's impossible!"
Sylphie threw her paws in the air and started babbling about how ribs couldn't be made of stone for it would defy the laws of physics. She started pacing along the fence and mumbling to herself. "Am I making any sense?" She looked at Stonerib over her shoulder, a hopeful look plastered on her fluffy face. "alright, you're from Snowclan, and you live on top of the mountain. How very strange, how very strange indeed."
Sylphie shook her head and mentally slapped herself. I'm talking to a cat who has ribs made of stone, who lives on a mountain, and he smells like rats and blood! I must be dreaming. Here she bit her tounge pretty hard. Tears welled up in her eyes at the pain. Nope, I'm not dreaming!
