A sound like windchimes in the night rings out It bounces off the walls of the cave Spiraling through the sky to StarClan themselves.
A glorious silver cat opens her eyes, wide as moons. "Another force?" is the murmur that emerges from between her pointed fangs "Quite odd. As the prophecy has foretold."
Standing up, waves are suddenly lapping at her feet, and the cave itself is suddenly facing the ocean and all its salty, windy glory. Cold bites through her fur as the cats pile out of a boat, streaming into the cave.
"StarClan senses the presence of these cats, and accepts them into the lands of the clans. But be warned. They have set paw on the moss of the cave. Their location will never be altered. They are one force with the clans."
Her gaze turns then to another cat. Green blue fur falling from her skin, rippling like the waves of the ocean. The tribe of Endless Swimming has come.
The two, cats, Silverpelt and Ocean Sea of Swimming Tribe come together. With a touch of their noses, a truce is made. The spirits of Stars and Sea mingle forever, 'till the mortals should tear them apart.

An bundle of tabby and white fur, excited at the prospect of scouting ahead for her Tribe, practically bounced into the strange cave but stopped suddenly as soon as her first paw entered the ethereal shadows on the rock. The little she-cat was suddenly swamped in the feeling that she was not alone here, and it made her puff out her long, fluffy fur protectively, enhancing her likeness to a kit. She certainly felt like a kit here, compared to whatever else it was that she sensed. Although Bubble had no real implications of what the presence was, it seemed ancient. Countless seasons old. What are you thinking, bass-brain? She scolded herself, shaking her head and supressing a shiver, old presences? Come on. With some of her customary enthusiasm returning, the to-be spared about a minute to snuffle about the crevices and shadows of the cave, making sure there were no nasty surprises, before popping out of it's mouth. "It looks great! There's some moss here to lie on and everything!" She called happily to Fish, "Who wants to run back and tell the others?"

Dark glanced in. "This looks good." He remarked gruffly, waving his long tail as his glossy black, blue-melded fur rippled in the wind.

"Great!" Bubble mewed enthusiastically, tail flicking back and forth. "I'll go get Lightning!" Not waiting for a reply, Bubble shot off in the direction of her Tribe.

Before padding into the cave, Fish glanced back at his brother. "Want to come in?" he mewed excitedly, noticing that his brother was sulking by the entrance, showing no signs of anticipating entering it. "Um, no..." the dark cat mubled, glancing uncomfortably at his paws, "I'll...sit guard here," Nodding in understanding, Fish slipped in, saddened by his brother's shame and discouragement. All at once, a feeling like he had never experienced before washed over his body. It was so powerful, as if the small cave was filled with lots and lots of cats. Hundreds of them, even. Shivering a bit, Fish shook his head feverently, and glanced around, taking a few more echoing pawsteps into the cave. It was nice enough. The walls were smooth, and covered in soft, fluffy moss all over it. Inside the cave, it was oddly warm, in contrast to the bitter wind outside, and it smelled sweet here. The humidity was nice too. If he closed his eyes, it almost felt like he was back at sea. Opening them again, he realized that Bubble and Dark were already racing back to Lightning to tell him the news, so Fish followed suit, assuming that Wood would simply continue guarding the cave.

Striding proudly along behind Bubble who led the way, Lightning's pale mint eyes were constantly scanning his surroundings, shifting focus form the foreground to the background and back as he had learned to on scouting duty aboard the Boat. As they neared it, his eyes snagged on the dark crack in the cliff wall. It seemed strangely alluring for a simple cave and Lightning felt he would have gone to it even if Bubble had not led the Tribe that way. He wondered if the little she-cat had sub-conciously felt a similar pull and what it was like inside.

Realizing his clan was arriving, Wood stood up, trying to look indifferent but humble as to not embarass himself in front of the tribe. Tail still dragging through the sand, he walked dejectedly after his leader and into the cave. As soon as his pads touched the moss, he gasped. Feeling embarassed at the loud exclamation, Wood hung his head, avoiding the gaze of other cats. But the emotion coursing through his body as he stepped into the place was far too much to bear! Twitching his ears and trying to regain his composure which he had worked so long on building, he stood up straighter, padding along behind Lightning, still not able to get over the strange emotion he was feeling from the moss, ridiculous as it sounded. Maybe I'm becoming a dolphin-brain, he thought, which was to say, he may be going crazy. Blinking rapidly at the thought, he slunk along through the dank cave, taking in the eerie scene around him.

Lightning took one look at his cats, to make sure they were assembled and stepped into the cave. The sudden energy that coursed through him as he did so make him stop short, eyes narrowing in suspicion and wonder. What in the name of the Tribe of Endless Swimming was that? As soon as he thought that, he realised what the new presence was and relaxed. It was similar to that he felt when listening to the Whispering-Shell but not exactly the same. The feeling was warped some how, it felt less soft and flowing. It was coarse and sturdy. Like the land cats. He realised with a jolt. Was this the home of their ancestors? Lightning realised that he was blocking the entrance and quickly padded all the way in, feeling a strange tingling sensation in his pads as he padded across the moss. He noticed Wood gasp as well and flicked his tail in approval. The to-be was in touch with his instincts. That was good.
"Come here if you need healing. Salt, please drop the herbs here." He commanded evenly, running through all the healing methods in his mind. First he would heal his Clan. Then he would organise training, then he would contact the Tribe of Endless Swimming and ask them for guidance.

Walking in the cave slowly, Rain found himself almost slipping on the smooth stone and soft moss. Shifting his position in an attempt to steady himself, the tom found himself sliding further and further into the cave, until he could just barely make out Lightning's outline at the entrance. Stupid moss. As if Rain wasn't tired enough to begin with. Glaring at the thick darkness of the cave, Rain began to make his way back to tribe. The strange feeling Wood and Lightning had experienced was lost on Rain, who felt only his own exhaustion, and heard only the distant noises of the cats entering the cave.
Jumping in quickly after Rain, Island's bright eyes glowed in the dim light that crept in the cave. She lost track of her brother quickly- he must have wandered somewhere else. Walking on her stocky white paws, Island quickly took in the cave, it seemed to have an eerie glow about it, an unseen source of light that wasn't the moon. The cave looked and felt like the deepest trenches in the ocean, with it's prefect slippery stone, and an ominous feel. Feeling suddenly isolated and alone, Island immediately scanned the cave again, her wide eyes looking desperately for her brother. Stupid rain. He always disappeared right when she needed him.
entering the cave with elegance equal to a three-legged turtle, Dove did a strange tumble into the cave, his pale green eyes filled with surprise and fear. Quickly pushing himself back unto his thin limbs, Dove slunk into one of the shadows of the cave, until his body was completely invisible, except for two large orbs floating in the darkness. Having no intention to embarrass himself further, Dove lay down, his brown-grey tail curving around his body, still watching the tribe. Refusing to take a good look at the cave, the tom ignored the calling of the Tribe of Endless Swimming.
Light looked around for Fire, wind whipping up her fur. They had barely gotten a chance to lay down and rest, and already they had to move again! The entrance to dark-looking cave lay before her, cats swarming in. "Fire?" The she-cat meowed quietly, cursing her own cod-brained actions. How could she have let Fire out of her sight? Light searched frantically for the small kit, not really noticing the multitude of cats passing her. She had to find Fire.

Slipping in after her Tribe, Salt noticed Light glancing around frantically, but before she had time to even think about asking what was wrong, Lightning called upon her for assistance. Padding over obediently, she once again, choked out the enormous mound of herbs which she had managed to save from their old home in a rather ungraceful manner, but this time, she didn't stick around. Dipping her head to her healer, she slipped away, exploring the cave. She felt a tingly sensation in her paws, and something else, drowned out by her own sorrow for leaving her home. Deciding it was just a boring cave with strange moss, she flopped down, eyes round and shining, trying to settle into the moss. Her muscles were sore, and her skin had a few cuts, the afterhtoughts of the battle, which she began to clean, rasping over them with her tongue. She had only gotten but a few injuries in her life on the boat, and she hoped she wasn't making the damage worse. Normally, she would go to Lightning for help, but realizing that other cats were more wounded than her, she decided it was best to wait until he wasn't busy to check and make sure she had cleaned up her cuts correctly.
Fish padded over to his leader to wait his turn for fixing injuries. What a battle! What adrenaline! Glancing at the cuts on his leg, he felt their pain with exhilaration and excitement. These were battle wounds! He felt like a real live boat-guard, ready to take on a shark, and his fur was standing on end, still excited and riled up from the events of the past sun.
Shaking his head, Wood padded across the cave, not able to shake the feeling that some invisible force was following him. He gave a small shiver as he looked around at the cats settling into the moss. Surley, they wouldn't stay here? He could not bear to be away from the sea. Spotting Salt, another cat who did not seem happy with the current situation, and had fought little, as he had, he padded over to sit beside her, and began cleaning his minor wounds. The two cats sat in silence, rasping their tongues across their wounds until they stopped bleeding. They sat in silence for a while more, before Salt broke it. "You don't like it here, do you Wood?" she mewed softly, glancing at the to-be with understanding eyes. Wood shook his head, relieved to have time to speak with a cat that shared his feelings. "Me neither," she replied. After that, the two still sat in silence, but in a more comfortable one than before.

Light paws entered the cave, the lith she-cat Wind entered the cave. Cats of her Tribe surrounded her, and then she sighed. She hated to be in crowds, but she might as well, she was told to come here, no? Wind looked around, before sitting in a small gap, a few tail lengths away from everyone else. She had scratches and such, but they didnt hurt her as much as everyone else needed to be healed.
The she-cat sighed, and then layed her head on her paws. She watched to Tribe, getting healed by their leader/healer She watched in silence, and then moved around where she was looking straight at the entrence to the cave. Urgh, boring.

Warm mint eyes took in the injuries of the cats who had lined up before him. First was Fish, the proud little to-be looking ready to yowl his excitement to the rocky ceiling. "Stick out you leg, Fish." He meowed calmly, selecting a small white shell which he pried open with his teeth to reveal a soft grainy powder that was made form crushing and drying fish intestines. It would ward off infection. The tom shook out a bit onto the ginger to-be's wounds before wrapping them in seaweed. "There you go. You have fought well today, your Tribe honours you, and your brother. Tell him this, please." Lightning congratulated the young cat, hoping the message would be passed on, he had a feeling Wood was feeling quite down. He paused in his healing of the next cat for a moment to pick out some cats who were idle. "Island and Salt, please take out Fish, Wood, Dove and Bubble and give them as much battle-training as possible. Stick close to the cave-mouth though. Dark, could you teach Wind and Horizon the basics of fighting too? Rain and Sun, you get some rest. Light...Light?" He faltered for a moment, realising the queen was not there. "Moon, go look for Light immediatley please, tell her to get some rest in here and then watch Fire." Now he was free to listen to his ancestors.
The little tabby and white she-cat who had been about to curl up and sleep's head shot up at this. Battle-training! Bubble scampered over to Island immediatly and praced around her paws excitedly, "Let's go! I wanna learn the best moves there ever was!" She meowed happily, tail twitching with anticipation.

Nodding in compliance and gratitude, Fish stuck out his paw and watched what his healer did carefully. Healing skills were always useful to have, though he had no idea what the powder was. Dipping his head when his leader finished, Fish glowed inside as Lightning complimented his fighting skills, and was releived that the healer had mentioned his brother as well. Purring in gratitude, he mewed a respectful response, "I'll be sure to pass it on," he then dipped his head and turned away, though he did not pad far before all to-bes were ordered to begin training. As Bubble leapt up, Fish padded happily over to the she-cat, and bounded out of the cave alongside her. "I want to learn how to claw those fish-brained land cats' eyes out!" he yowled in excitement, responding to his friend's words. Purring, he danced out of the cave, paws slipping not on moss, but this time, on sandy earth. Glancing up at the sky as the icy wind rustled his fur, he leaped about in excitement and the propsect of training for the first time on land. He'd never learn the tricks of fighting in the water, he realized. How different his life would be than those older than him, even boat-guards would have to learn new fighting techniques, fish-catchers, new ways of hunting, and he crinkled his nose at the thought of becoming a land-cat. "I hope we find somewhere closer to sea where we can settle," he mewed, concern in his eyes.
Salt stood up slowly, trying to register what exactly Lightning had said. Train the to-bes? On land? She flicked her ears, trying to think of a way to teach these cats without water in which to demonstrate fighting moves. She'd just have to teach them on-boat tricks and try and explain how to fight in the water. Hoping they'd find a more suitable place to settle where tradition woudln't be so lost, she slipped out of the cave, relieved that the odd sensation had left. The moss must be contaminating the air in there, she realized, the humidity coudln't be good for a cat. Sighing, she hoped she wouldn't come across as too depressed for the excited to-bes, and she took a seat, waiting for Island to emerge after her.
Wood realized that there was no getting out of the training, especially now that even Salt had left, so he stood up slowly and slunk along the shadowy parts of the cave, emerging into brighter light, still masked by dark, heavy clouds. Seeing his brother and Bubble standing a few bass-lenghts away, he padded over to them, sitting down and giving his chest fur a self-concious lick before looking up, determination to stay somewhat upbeat burning in his eyes. He would be happy. He was getting a second chance. Suddenly, his brother was turning to him. "Lightning said to tell you that you did a good job today," Fish mewed, giving his brother a compassionate lick between the ears. Wood purred, feeling better already, and relaxed a bit, determination fading away to natural comfort and hapiness.

"Yeah! We'll send them runnign back to their stupid land-homes!" She agreed enthusiastically, privately hoping that the Tribe wouldn't have to adopt one of those. Bubble sniffed the air, curious to find something missing. It was several moments before she realised she couldn't smell the salty tang of the sea from here. The thought was very discouraging so the little to-be scrunched up her eyes tightly and stuck out her nose, drawing in a huge breath. Yes! There it was, the sea-scent was still there. Just farther away than it had ever been before. Suddenly Bubble wondered how they were going to learn to fight without the sea, would they be learning land-cat moves? I wonder if fighting on land is any harder? The tabby she-cat mused silently, I never got to fight out of water because that stupid land to-be kicked me. There was only one way to find out. Gathering her haunches for a suprise attack, she leaped at Fish's exposed back with a small yowl of glee.

Fish gasped as Bubble landed on his back, taken by surprise. At first, he was almost positive that a land cat had come back to fight him, continuing the battle despite the temporary truce. It seemed all too probable judging by the manner of the insolent to-be he had met earlier on the beach. But upon scenting the air around him, and letting his brain re-organize for a moment, he realized that it was just Bubble. Giving a mew of surprise and happiness, he collapsed onto his side, trying to shake the hyper to-be off. "Let go!" he grunted, playfully swinging his tail backwards to whack her. He coudln't reach his claws around, but he could thump her rather hard with his long, ginger tail.
